I had the same problem on my Sherman, they help me immediately and send me a battery out, you are able to disconnect one side and still ride, I still ride my Sherman :-) love it

Dammmnn, cracked BMS. I have a Sherman on the way and looked into this issue beforehand, the new models produced for a couple months already have the hopefully improved side panels that should reduce or fix the risk of having the issue. But it really sucks for everyone who bought their wheel a while ago, especially since: - for many distributors the battery has only 6 months warranty - battery packs are very expensive - there's a shortage of Leaperkim battery packs currently. So ideally, the battery packs should be repaired with a new BMS (keeping the cells, rewrapped with heat shrink), side panels modified, at no charge to the customer since it's a design flaw from the factory.

Fwiw 3600 miles and countless crashes on my Sherman and no issue. But mine was definitely first gen and needs to have the paneling shaved. Thanks for the reminder.

If you want to still ride, you can disconnect the side on which the BMS failed, and it should continue normal workings just with decreased capacity.

(I think you can even take out the affected batteries, and move half the other one over to even out the weight distribution... but don't quote me on that!)

Yep it should work to disconnect the broken one, however careful with acceleration and speed! Because the wheel won't have the same ability to deliver power as before, and will stress the single battery and its wiring twice more as usual.

I didn't hear that you disconnected everything and reconnected. Did you even try hitting it with a hammer? These usually work with my electronics.

@@privileguan9127 Where are you from? Here in Spain they are implicitly forbidden because you cannot put a license on it and these vehicles are limited to 25km/h. I will use it nonetheless. You could say that you have a 25km/h speed limit set up with the app or something

@@rubenayla In Finland, I think you can just register it as a lightweight motorcycle. But then you need a license and need to get insurance. I think I'm going to wait for like 2 years to get more stuff in the market and pick a super fast one, then get it registered so I can drive it on roads.

Yup, it’s my next wheel in the future, I’m currently riding the s18 and love it so far and it’s not the fastest wheel out there, buts it’s fine to me. Definitely planning on this wheel and hope it will even be better in the future.

same issue, been running my Sherman as 1600wh device. Veteran sent me a new BMS, but it didn't work. They're sending me another one, hoping it works!

Did you receive the new BMS board only, and needed to solder it in place of the broken one - then heat shrink wrap the pack back together? I'd be very interested to see the cracked BMS board, next to the side cover ribs in order to understand how it fails :) I hope the new one will work as well.

According to ewheels the latest batches aren’t affected by the side panels. Been enjoying my vet Sherman ever since I got it, so sad that you’re without yours for the time being. it’s difficult being early adopters but I’m sure ewheels will work things out for you

As a base holder i use the styrofoam that came with it. As a seat i use the top that came with it. Both are highly customizable and less waste in the landfill. Flower pots are a good idea also.

Yep same thing happened to my sherman like last month ewheels took care of me right away and sent me a fixed pack that he fixed and moved a cable to the side that the shell would cut into it. thank god that it didnt happen when i was riding at 40 mph haha. Well damn, I was going to get Sherman as my first wheel, I just feel like on a long run it’s a best choice financially as I am convinced I’ll love EUC riding and I’m in for the long haul. Guess I’ll need to do further research as to pros and cons of Sherman. My main goal would be daily commute to work and maybe some recreational activities during my free time.

The „Issue“ ...“Battery left Side over V.“ ...is the balancing/measuring over the complete side pack. (Battery left Voltage Disagree) The plastik rims destroyed some of the resistors on the BMS on the one pack. As the 2 packs of this one side are 12S5p each and only together combine to 24S5p...now the communication between the 2 packs on this side is dead/defect...so the complete pack MUST shut off.... Actually the plastik rims must be taken out on the other side, too....otherwise sooner or later the right side will die, too. Typicall chinese fix, btw. „dear customer...please take away some of the shell“ :-) I would exspect that you get a complete new battery side....as i dont think a normal user would be able to soldier a new BMS on one of the packs.

Your exactly right on chinese solution. This is what is normally called "containment solution" to minimize damage. After that you release a final solution (in new wheels and supply upgrade to affected wheels on final solution...for free...as its the manufacturers mistake...and in EU / US pray to good noone got injured due to that mistake or your ass and ill be sued WAY WORSE than fries on MacDonalds.... problem is... China protect themselves and their companies so it aint that easy. As long as people buy china stuff, this is ehat you get. Stop and start buying quality from EU/US and after xx years China is begging for customers and need to shape up. Problem is "normal joe" either dont get that or dont care...just wanna ride ;-)

I’m not read up on Shermans but it sounds like maybe a balance wire broke? That would be my guess as to why to remove those ridges.

You are right . Had the same issue , straight sent out of the factrory. In total took me three month to sort it out. First try was a plain BMS. During soldering the battery pack blowed up. Had lots of luck as it happend out of the shell. Finall received a complete batter unit. So far all fine

@@bigbadboogie6842 Well , first try were two BMS. The are located on top of the batterry pack . These are the tricky spots.However, was really shocked , during assembling the intire battery pack went on fire, like a chain reaction. Finally I received a brand new battery pack. All solved so far.From now on I got respect, when working on battery cells. The seller was Chicway from China. I prefer ordering my wheels from China. First they sent BMS only , as shown at the link above this text.

Seems like any wheel you buy needs some TLC right from the factory. That sucks. Most of us are already addicted to the EUC crack... Guess I will have to tear down my sherman when I get it to waterproof it, marine grease the bearings, seal the motor, and now sand the insides of the side covers... Lots of work to put into a brand new product right out of the box...

Especially GotWay Begode needs TLC. If you have a Sherman produced after March 2021 you have the new covers so no worries :)

@@V1ncentVanBro A friend of mine got his Sherman about a month ago and he checked, the panels had the fixes already. If this change totally solves the issue long-term or not, only time will tell however.

Most of current EUC are beta versions and we are beta testers . Compare cheap Chinese Ebike do German Haibike this is where our EUC are at the moment . Try to Get ''Clark Pads Gen 2 Universal '' for testing probably the best power/torque/brake EUC pads on the market

The pedał dip (actually pedals went up) when braking caused the wheel to fall on the side. Kate couldnt keep balance

Visit EucForum and you will find: - BtLow(loy) resolution (yeah thats the best they could make on a 7 segment digit) - Charger issue (150uF vs 220uF inside) causing blown sherman boards. - Issue with the new 3" wide rim cracking (and side of rim in some ocassions, seems like they used cheaper alu to make the bigger rim cost less or the same as the narrown one + engineering mistake at the spokes...sharp edges...never good at big loads). Big difference vs gotway you think? Veteran SOLVES THE ISSUE BY RE-ENGINEERING (slow itterations as engineers dont seem scholared way up there) Vs GOTWAY? They just send you a new spare part...at best..same problem...new part....till warranty is out.

It is laughable a distrubutor ask the customer to make a fix for a design fault at home (shave back plastic moulding to avoid contact with bms) - no. How about you give me a refund or exchange as it was a design fault at new and within 6 months. An exchange for a new batch. That is the problem with E scooters and EUCs at the moment, customers are secretly being treated as BETA testers. Thumbs up for the upload nonetheless.

dear rider if you want to keep your machine you must already maintain it and clean it in view of the condition of your sherman it is often said that the equipment in bad condition reflects the personality of its owner

He literally rides over 500km in a week pretty regularly, it's not that he isn't doing maintenance, his usage is just so high the equipment is under stress all the time. Also not that you can do maintenance on these, oiling the bearings or sealing the wheel is pretty much as much you can do other than keeping all the screws and bolts tight.
