a documentary about Back in Black and they use a photo circa 1984 with Simon as their drummer. Great. Give Phil more credit please.

Phil Rudd is a pure Rock''n'Roll drummer because he added swing. Malcolm loved his style and said that Phil was always welcome back after his time-out Reply

I remember seeing that tour when I was about 15! Yes, the bell! That huge fucking bell! Blew my 15 year-old head off, man! Never forget it! Helped turn me into a musician! And I actually got to play some huge stages along the way! Rock 'n' roll!!!!

Man ever time I listen to back in black it takes me back to the early 80s when I was a kid and man did we ever wore that album out. And when I got lucky to see AC/DC in concert it was one of the best if not the best concert I had been to. And I got lucky to meet Angus Young after the concert me and a few other guy were in the parking lot where there tour bus was and saw Angus walking to the tour bus with I guess was his body guard or one of his crew and he saw us standing there and just walked over to us and just started talking to us. Man what a down to earth kind a guy and a real cool dude.

I remember Joe Elliot saying Mutt Lange told Def Leopard to forget what you've learnt before and this album "Hysteria" will make you superstars or something similar to that

Bon Scott passed one week after Malcolm said " We have laid down the music and will be ready for you to put your lyrics to the next album in a week or two". Bon's DNA was over that album and his remaining family still get royalties from Back in Black, which was was released 4 months after Bon passed, 2 and a half months afterr Brian joined the band. Back in Black became the 2nd best seller behind Thriller. Brion has been awesome but he was never a song writer. Listen to the almums that followed, written by the Young brothers. Great upload !! Cheers and respest to all members. Johno from Australia. Ps. In My experienced humble opinion Bon Scott wrote the lyrics for 7 of those songs and his lyrics book has still never been seen since that dreadful night . He always had it with him

It's almost guaranteed that the young brothers got ahold of it because I believe they cleaned out his apartment. Would hate to think of someone else finding it.

ACDC has put out multiple masterpieces. That's amazing in itself, but who does it with two vocalists other than Sabbath?

As much as a "legendary" album BIB is.....I personally absolutely feel that Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap from 5 years prior; is a better album. The reason is because each and every song on the Dirty Deeds record has a different feeling from one to the next. You got slow, medium and fast & heavy songs each with different tempo. I feel like BIB....every song is the same sound and tempo. Like as if the drum tracks can be inter-changed with each song. DDDDC does not give me that feeling. But both albums for me are absolute masterpieces. But this is only my opinion. Not a fact! You all have yours too I'm sure? Great Doc here though. I enjoyed watching. Especially the personal guitar lessons we get from Angus. Thanks for posting.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but why would they have all these photographs of the band from 1983 when Simon Wright was on drums and not Phil Rudd who was the groove master on the back and black album? Not to take anything away from Simon but if you’re doing a documentary with a lot of thoughtful interviews, why on earth would you not superimpose the proper lineup in the photograph montage? Otherwise well done.

How bizarre. An hour-long documentary with not one band member, producer, family member, neighbor, manager... a bunch of nobody's talking about Back In Black. I can go to my old high school buddies, and we can make the exact same documentary because "we were all there"

Back in Black would have been even more successful with Bon because as journeyman as Brian is, even he’ll tell you, Bon was the spirit and humor of the band. The music was already set when Brian joined. The band was always the Youngs and whoever they wanted at the time. Any other band members were expendable. Bon was the only one who came close to being essential. They never wrote songs with the wit and presence after Bon.

Not for nothing, but for decades it was rumored that Bon had completed lyrics and sketches for what would become “Back in Black” and that it was the reason the Young’s were able to complete the album so quickly. I don’t discount the genius of the Young family. They’ve been doing work of astronomical quality since the mid-sixties, but Bon was special, he had that rare quality that made women want to sleep with him and men want to drink with him. I honestly believe that if someone went to the trouble of producing an AI version of “Back in Black” with Bon singing produced by Mutt Lang or Vanda & Young and released it officially, it would be the biggest record of the year.

I disagree. The band lost something when they lost Phil Rudd even though he’s not the most technically proficient drummer. Especially Chris Slade was a poor fit even though on paper he’s a much better drummer.
