We sat down for an interview with ACGG Professional Member and Vice President Glenn Fewless who performed the metalsmithing operations on the ACGG's 2023 President's Rifle.
I've watched this at least five times. It's time for a multitude of comments. First, Thank you for putting this together Zeb. Second, thank you for the look around at where such magic occurs. It seems that custom gunmaking is mostly like the description of Art. 10% inspiration and 90 perspiration. A huge amount of hard work. I am humbled by the quality of work these craftsmen (and women) produce. I will continue to enjoy their efforts, much like I enjoy music. Something to be valued, but unlikely to be produced in my little shop.
Love the video! Fine work from all. Any chance you've got more video of the barrel machining? For most it's like watching paint dry, but for me it's more like watching a time lapse of an ant colony eating the flesh off a predator skull leaving something spectacular in the end.
