전 세계인이 보는 유튜브에 한글을 적는 것이 이렇게 자랑스러울수 없네요... 정말 대단하고 자랑스럽습니다 조성진.

눈물나네,피아노가 얼마나 힘들고 외롭고 무대에서 혼자 싸워야하는 악기임을 알기에 조성진군이 얼마나 노력했을까..축하하고 앞으로 어깨가 무거울텐데 젊은나이니만큼 압박을 조절해서 거장이 되길바랍니다!!

아니 왜 또 혼자만 멀끔하고 귀공자같고 그러냐곸ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 어우 넘좋아

6등부터 부를때...2등 부르고..마지막 1등을 부를때..조성진은 고개를 숙이고 있었어요. 무슨 생각 을 하고 있었을지... 축하하고 멋져요!

1등 발표되자마자 카메라들이 들이닥치는거 왤캐 웃기냐 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

한마디로 위대한 청년입니다 아무리재능은타고낫다고하더라도 저렇게아름답게 완성하려면 얼마나연습을 했을까요 쇼팽의아름다운선율이 눈물나도록 아름답네요 감사 해요 한국의 청년이라서 ‥

I'm so thankful for Chopin Institute for streaming the entire competition live. I'll never forget the 3 weeks I spent with everyone watching this exceptional competition.

For some reason I love the way Seongjin is dressed at the announcement. Casual yet so classy… he’s a beautiful man.

i loved seeing kate liu's reaction to her third place finish (you can hear her mouthing "thank god!") and esp. when she hears that seong-jin cho is the winner (she's clapping higher than anyone else!) what a great competitor

6년이나 지난 지금 봐도 왜 이렇게 눈물이 나는지 모르겠네요. 6년전 조성진이라는 피아니스트를 알고 난 후 그의 음악으로 위로와 감동을 받은 많은 순간들이 생각나고, 저 자리에 오르기까지 얼마나 많은 수고와 노력이 있었을까 생각도 나고....

All of the rounds Cho was head and shoulder above the rest, indeed. He was the only one to deserve the gold and be prepared for entering the market as a concert artist.

1등 발표하고 셔터터지고 성진님 웃고 하는데 눈물날것 같아 ㅠㅠ울컥하네요..요즘 코로나때문에 다들 경기도 안좋고 좋은뉴스도 없는데...어제는 성진님 쇼팽 발라드1 ~4 번 이랑 콩쿠르 우승곡 들으면서 잤는데 오랜만에 푹잔느낌이에요..개운한 아침^^ 컨디션관리 잘하셔서 오래 연주해주세요♡♡♡♡♡

저는 클래식쪽은 잘 몰라도 피아노는 정말 좋아하는데 유투브보다 한국인이 우승했다길래 웬일이야..하고 들었는데 뿅가서 그대로 다운받았어요. 들을때마다 소리가 아름다워서 행복합니다 ㅠㅠ 얼마나 노력을하면 이런소리가 날까 싶기도하네요 ㄷㄷ

우승을 알고 있는데도 다시 보면 긴장도 느껴지고, 너무 벅차네요~^^ 너무나 순수해 보이는 모습이 더 좋네요~~ 앞으로도 계속 정진해서 거장의 길을 묵묵히 잘 걸어가주시기를~~! 자랑스럽습니다~~

It´s actually wonderful that Cho won the competition! Looking forward to hear much more from him, Hamelin and Liu (they are all great).

I am stunned by the score that Mr. Philippe Entremont has adjudicated One !! -- Not the ranking number, but the score out of 1-10 scale. It would have been no issue, if Cho messed up and deserves it. However, all the rest of 16 judges have given him the score average 9, multiple judges gave Cho the perfect score 10. This is a malicious and very unprofessional mindset as a musician, and he is no longer great musician or professional, at least disrespectful, if he was ever respected. Mr. Philippe Entremont's dishonest grading should be seriously examined and allow the board of the jury of the same competition to force his disqualification from such world renown competitions like "International Chopin Piano Competition" Shame on you Mr. Philippe Entremont, and you should feel the shame and sorry for all the music lovers you have fooled around with in the past. However, this made the Cho performance even greater and more valuable and well-deserved, to still win the competition.

Thanks Chopin institute for broadcasting this event online. Kate Liu is an angel, and the winner is brilliant. All pianists in this competition are excellent musicians who deserve the best in their careers. I wish the best in your lives, and thanks for playing Chopin as beautifully as every one of you did!

너무 대단하다 진짜 이번 쇼팽 콩쿨 보면서 조성진님 영상도 정주행 중인데 와 우승자 발표되고 카메라 스포트라이트 받는거 영화 한 장면 같다 천재가 노력까지 해버리면....👍👍

Many thanks to the entire Chopin Institute RU-vid team for the complete coverage and live-streaming. It was actually a life-changing experience for me, seriously. Even though it was a competition, I got to hear some of the best Chopin ever played. I've watched some other international competitions before, but don't know if they can top this. Congrats to Seong-jin Cho, Charles-Richard Hamelin, and Kate Liu for earning top 3 prizes, also to Eric Lu, Tony Yang, and Dimitry Shishkin! This competition made me love Chopin more than I already do. We look forward to more again in 2020!! And, hopefully pianists like Krzysztof Ksiazek and Tiffany Poon would be able to get another shot!

너무 압도적이라 3등, 2등.....어? 설마...하지만 역시나 였다. ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ.... 토끼같은 성진군 달에 올라 세계를 향해 맘껏 웃음 주기를 바란다. 프랑크풀트 알테 오퍼에서의 연주회 정말 환상적이었어요.. ^ _ ^

이런표현어떨지모르지만성진님이쁘다.. 정말반짝반짝빛나도록이쁘고 자랑스럽고사랑스럽다..!!

공부도 힘들지만 피아노가 더 힘든거같. 난 다음생엔 예원학교랑 서울예고 파리고등음악원 도전해보고싶음 되든안되든

성실하고 겸손하고 무대에선 정말 신~~ 빨리 공연 볼수 있는날을 손꼽아 기다립니다

Mr. Philippe Entremont gives the only "1" mark to Cho in a sea of 8s, 9s, and even a 10 mark from other jurors. Mr. Entremont has earned his place in the jury but I'm very, very glad others thought highly enough of Cho's play that he overcame the (ridiculously) low mark from Mr. Entremont.

A far superior competition than Moscow's, Tchaikovsky Competition. Free from soviet policy and control. Streaming it live is quite commendable. The announcer learned the right pronunciation of the winner's names. My sincere compliments to Chopin Institute

Rise of the star in the new generation!

it was the... memorable colorful competition with so many 'GREAT' and 'DIFEERENT' voices of competitors. Liu, Richard-Hamelin, and Cho were all TOO great and showed very solid and unshaking performances. The three were all 'winners' level at third-round. Richard-Hamelin's playing was likely everyone's taste with very trendy and chic Liu's playing was feather-light sophisticated and breath-taking Cho's playing was strong and deep I believe Cho won the competition because his concerto were a bit more suitable for the final. 17th Chopin competition 2015 was the way more 'fun' and 'super rookies' and I cannot believe Chopin Institute now allows everyone in the world to be able to see the competition LIVE ... So Thankful that I can listen Cho's Polonaise, Richard-Hamelin's Sonata, Liu's Mazurka in pajamas in my bed before going to bed ... lol Oh yeah, the sound masters of this channel and Poland are more than geniuses. My cheap apple earphone gives better quality classical music sound than being an audience at Carnegie Hall in a bad seat location ..

I never understand why the Chopin competition, probably the world's most prestigious piano competition, does such a makeshift award ceremony in a crowded lobby, rather than in the performance hall itself where the winners can be probably acknowledged and applauded. Seems so anticlimactic.

Any pianist that finds her/himself stood below that staircase is a winner.

Mr. Cho is of course an amazing pianist and a great musician. So is Mr. Richard-Hamelin. But in all these years after the competition I found myself coming back to Ms. Liu's performances. Trying to find more of her playing. Listening to her again and again. Maybe that's the great thing about these competitions; it's not about who is "better", but all these wonderful souls communicate with you in the most beautiful way and then you can find a voice that you feel closer to. A voice that expresses your feelings better than the others. Congratulations to all of them.

Oh my god the cameras LOOOOOOOOol.... on a serious note... well done to all of them. They really did well. When I heard them calling the names I remember when I was a kid and I used to compete for nationals... I feel like throwing up just hearing calling names cuz it was so nerve wrecking and it was actually one of the reasons I faked multiple stomachaches to stop competing. It's such a shame cuz I begged my parents to stop playing for a while in school and I phased in and out of it. I never functioned well under stress... I never did and I never do even now in my 30s... but really really kudos to these young people for doing a marvelous job.

Watching this video again and again. Amongst watching the video, I kept thinking about the Mr.Philippe Entremont : He should not be a chopin juror again. It's evident that he lost his spirit of fairness as juror, so Mr entremont should be exiled from the position of juror in order to re-establish and preserve the honor and glory of the Chopin International Competition!!

6년 뒤에 돌아와서 보니 다들 귀염귀염~ 연주만큼 떨리는 순간이었일텐데 , 각각 발표 뒤에 표정을 보니 인간적인 면모를 보여지네

By broadcasting the whole thing in a super-professional way, I think they really positioned their contest as the #1 international piano competition. I hope other competitions start doing the same. What would be, in your opinion, the 3 most important piano competitions? Chopin, Tchakovsky, Cliburn?
