Acting and scenes seem so much more awkward when raw like this. Gives a much better feel for how hard it is to be an actor. Much respect to those that can do this so well.
Nah. But what was criminal that he didn't put in the locker room scene at the end of the movie. I still hope there will be some alternative cut one day on dvd where they will add it.
Okay, maybe the Rocky v Drago fight wouldn't have suited the movie, but I'd LOVE to see a final version, music and all. Just to see how it would've looked had it not been cut.
Thats exactly my thought, but apparently a lot of people think that including this would ruin a previous Rocky movie from 30 years ago, thats insane stupid. Including this would make this movie better.
@@amigosXcorrespondenc no it wouldn’t...they’re too damn old to be fighting and left that way past them. It wouldn’t have ruined the franchise but definitely this movie itself
That scene didn't belong in the movie. It would have been ridiculous. Rocky and Ivan, two senior citizens, one battling cancer, behaving like it's 1985 again.
It would be a funny commercial. A quick montage of Rocky and Ivan going at it, with the same camera back and forth between the two, and same music as Rocky 4.
@@eddieG667 in "rocky Balboa" it is stated that the medical industry was WAY different in the mid 80s and has come a long way. So his doctor's in the late 80s were using primitive techniques and even theories to keep rocky out of the ring. His current scans showed no actual brain damage. Which is how he got cleared to fight.
As much as people saying “glad they didn’t put this in the movie etc” it would have been exciting to see just a small snippet from the past of the two of them going at it Drago cheap shotting Rocky but then Rockys fighter spirit fighting back like in Rocky 4 👊🏻
Yes and no. Being 60 and almost beating Mason Dixon with a broken hand is one thing. A 70 year old cancer survivor beating someone 20 years younger in great shape and healthy is beyond a stretch
@@mikekillagreen9432 Wouldn't exactly say Drago was in great shape/healthy. While obviously not as old as Rocky was, he was clearly a broken man. The days of him being a steroid-fueled killing machine were long behind him, and it's not made clear how well he took care of himself since. You get a look at his physique in one brief scene where he's sparring with Viktor, and he doesn't look all that impressive.
Dude it would have been cool, but I think, realistically, Ivan would have won, due to Rock's battle with cancer and brain damage. Though both are up in age.. Ivan 50 something, and Rocky's 70???
@@mikekillagreen9432 so in the 4th movie Rocky was 40ish and Ivan 20ish??? and he still won??? The brain damage then is legit.. building up with time then bam it hit! Adrian was right, and both Rocky and Apollo should have listened!
@@k-dogg9086 He said Rocky V doesn't count..lol. If you watch Rocky Balboa and Creed they ignore V completely except for thr home team saying with his son. He passed his physical "with flying colors" in R6 so the brain damage thing never happened..
Personally, Day of the Dead's Captain Rhodes (played by Joseph Pilato) is one of the biggest assholes in movie history. You wish the zombies tear him apart. But then, you see an interview and see that the guy is actually really humble and nice
If someone beat my friend to death and his son punch a friend of mine trying to stand up...I could be a 100 years old ...I would definitely start a fight
A little altercation between Drago and Rocky would've added a little more intensity and flair to the film...not sure about fully-measured punches though...a little shoving or tussling match quickly broken up by security would've been nice.
Certainly it would have been much attractive movie but Stallone and Dolph are now too old to move as they used to do, they were be slow and heavy, that's why Stallone taught about son's fight, the revenge of Drago in a sens
@@tonymarcuso i mean in this video they clearly did it they also came out in the expendables movies and Stallone did his own stunts there like getting thrown into a wall.not saying they should kill themselves but a little something would have been fun to have in tbe final film
They should have kept in the beginning scene with Rocky speaking his eulogy at his good friend Spider Rico's funeral and in his speech he talks about the place he takes Adonis to train and be reborn. A powerful scene that's missed in Creed II.
I think it would have been over the top. At best, maybe a shoving match or verbal confrontation would have been suffice. Both are senior citizens in this movie and it just would make much sense to see them throwing punches at one another as if they were young men. Also, it would have taken the limelight from Michael B and Florian, whom were the characters of major focus in this film. If anything, they could have shown a bit more how Rocky and Drago were both broken men after that fight in Russia. The restaurant scene was great but could have been even better. The locker room scene should have made the cut.
Ivan is 50 about the age when Rocky took down Tommy.. or about that age. Rocky was 40is fighting a 20ish Russian! With his problems as well, yet still won???
Im glad they didnt include this, a Rocky vs. Drago fight would've felt a bit forced and it's better to just focus on Creed vs. Drago. Both these guys are 60+ and i prefer them to be fighting with words rather than fists at this point, we've already seen them beat the crap out of each other.
@Michael Bonhomme I think straight out fighting is a more of a thing for younger days. Even with full of hatred, even for boxers, fighting would probably not be much of a thing coming to mind at that kind of age. It'll be 2 old men fighting each other and would look a bit weird from more characters point of view. Also fighting is usually a sudden release of anger. Showing this long animosity between two characters by them fighting would be wrong. It's a cold war.
I still can’t believe they didn’t show the finished Rocky Drago skirmish. I know the movie’s about Creed but every Rocky Fan in the world wanted to see that!
This reminded me of the second light saber battle between Vader and Kenobi in Star Wars: A New Hope (a.k.a. Vader v Kenobi: The Battle Of The Geriatrics).
I don't get it either. It gives so much Rocky IV flashbacks. Specially with Drago using the punches he did in his fight against Balboa. It's not just two old men fighting, it's two legends fighting once more.
An underhanded dis.issive shoulder check or a shove would have worked, a small interaction that is seemless, yet eventful and nostaglic would have worked but not totally necessary, it would be a believable moment. But an all out fight is definitely unnecessary. The film and interaction between them was perfect the way it was
Man, those punches on the "Toe to toe" training were landing, the sound of the fists hitting their bodies isn't a sound effect, those were real sounds.
The video is out on RU-vid but not under deleted scenes. The scene, Rocky vs Drago 2 would be awesome if it came out in the film as it's the 2nd street fight Rocky is having. Sad moment for all Rocky fans.
@@boomznbladez405 I love "Rocky V." Ease up with your generalizations. And this scene here was the biggest thing I was looking forward to in "Creed II." So disappointed when it didn't make it into the final film or even onto the blu-ray.
