Big respect for you guys man! Wei Du, Jonathan, Shanmuga, Muhammad, Adnan and the rest of the crew! You guys were risking your lives in doing this documentary. ‘Walk The Line’ deserves an award and so are everyone that’s involved in this program. Thank God all profiles reached the US safe and sound! 🙌🏻
Lol. These kind of documentaries about this topic have been done by the hundreds already by western and other media. Some of the reporters actually joined the migrants on the road walking. Wei Du and her people didn’t do much and didn’t do anything dangerous. Average documentary by people who live in a bubble and don’t know much about the outer world. They’re late to the party. It’s been done already and done much better
CNN did this route 2 years ago, ABC Australia did this route hikik the Daren Gap 5 years ago. I met 4 Venezuelans last month, 1 of them spoke a little English, he told me he paid $1,500 to the coyotes.. These are economics migrants, not asslym seekers

Of all documentaries on migration to US this one was so raw and emotional..😢 i will never forget the guy whom you interviewed in part 2 and was migrating because he had lost his mom, dad and son...his silent cry was so so sad to watch 😢😢
@@阿部机 China is definitely not the paradise as advertised, but if you compare it to Africa/Southeast Asia/South America/Mexico, then China is indeed a paradise.
@user-so3ll9sq4t i agree with you but some countries in Africa like my country Botswana is paradise honestly, the peace and safety we have is too much..no racism or whatsoever, the ease in access to resources is way better than other countries and we get free healthcare, education from childhood until tertiary, and so many empowerment programs available. In terms of infrastructure development, China has the best, but my country has freedom and peace and that's better than anything

Best documentation I have watched on RU-vid. You guys deserve a wider recognition. You humanize this illegal migration walking the line in a fact telling fashion without glorifying or humiliating it, which in itself is the essence of journalism.
I just finished watching the three episodes of your documentary and I was teary-eyed sometimes. When the father cried telling the story about their boat trip, It just hit me in the gut being a father myself. I would do anything for my family too. What a journey those families had to go through to get the freedom they deserved. Well done guys for making this documentary.

@@___beyondhorizon4664 But do CNN, ABC Australia talk about the behind the scenes of their reports?? You claim you met 4 Venezuelans, but where? The ICE Detention Centre? The area of Arizona?
Thank you for the risks you guys took to share the untold stories of these migrants. Indeed we are so privileged because of the efforts of our ancestors who were migrants themselves to Singapore. This BTS brought me to tears.
After watching the 3 part series, I wondered how Wei" kept it all together" but this behind the scene has shown that like the viewers, she too couldn't help but feel compassion and love for the immigrants - it's the human side in all of us!!. Bravo to Wei and the team at CNA Insider for a award worth documentary!

This behind-the-scenes look was an immensely enjoyable watch. I'm so proud of the CNA Team for documenting this journey. I would love to see more documentaries like this. Kudos!!
One of the best series in the last couple of years by CNA. Great work! Glad that all are safe and we get to appreciate life and our blessings through this amazing series. Once again, THANK YOU.
this is ONE of the best documentaries I have ever seen in my entire whole life, my kids (under 13) even enjoy it and what Jonathan said in the last "Their journey made my life problem in my everyday life feel so insignificant" My kids watch this and say "we won't complain for small thing anymore dad" and they are feel grateful no need to go through like lucy or any other toddler and kids. Well done and congratulations to the the whole team!
Thank you for your bravery and hard work. This series was outstanding. My parents immigrated legally decades ago, but this highlights the shared reason for coming to America-a better life for their children. Like my parent’s generation, the family featured loves America and everything it stands for. They sacrifice, work hard, instill that ethic in their child, and will never take for granted the freedom, opportunity and inclusion America affords. I wish them the best in their futures.
Amazing documentary and congratulations to the team who made it possible. All deserve a well deserved award not only for journalism but humanity and compassion.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you CNA for pushing the boundaries to film this excellent & mind blowing documentary! Thanks to CNA , we got swept into an uncertain world in the comfort of our homes.
Such an amazing watch. Thank you for your dedication to authenticity…I was shocked a local crew would try to film in the Darien Gap. Thanks for the hard work…what an experience for you.

Thank you Wei’s team ❤. I also like the mom/dad/daughter family a lot, I feel their positives, even there’s some time ‘dad’ is emotional. Will pray for them, pray for all of them indeed.
One of the best documentaries in recent times. Really kept one on the edge of the seat. Kudos to CNA, Wei Du’s team for give us a close view of this story/issue.
Wei Du, Jonathan, Shanmuga, Muhammad, Adnan and the rest of the crew, U GUYS ROCK!!!!!!! I was eagerly waiting on the next episode and could not wait for the 'Behind The Scenes' epsiode!!!!... Well done and glad that you are all safe and well..
Thank you Crew! Best moment is to hear that the profiles seem to be doing okay! Having been through the "worst", may luck shine upon them moving forth ❤❤❤
The best CNA documentary to date. Excellent production. Breathtaking storytelling. Remarkable video journalism. My highest praise to Dui Wei and her team.
Excellent documentary! Much respect to the TV crew for putting their lives on the line. Glad the Chinese migrants are settling down well. All the best to them!
I truly respect and love the way this team put the goal and safety of their profiles first and foremost, keeping a distance when things were dangerous for them. Others might have put their stories first, but not the CNA team. ❤❤❤
I 100% concur with the comments below: this CNA team definitely deserves some kind of documentary or journalism award. The determination spirit and overcoming all the nonsense and adversity of the Chinese migrants people shown in the documentary, i pray with all my heart they will find peace, freedom and prosperity in their new lands.
Its so sensible to engage fixers in different parts of the dangerous areas, follow their precious instructions to stay safe in some nerve wreaking moments. Well done, team👍👍
Thank you for making so much effort and time to do this documentary in its most organic and natural way on a humanity level presenting the dangerous aspects of the journey and raw feelings of the crew and the asylum seekers who took the risk to walk the line from their home country to America. I hope they will be able to stay on even if Mr Trump gets voted as President in this upcoming November. This documentary shows the utmost importance of having a wise leader , administration team and good laws to govern, care and protect the peace, harmony, stability, sustainability and prosperity of the citizens and the country.😊🙏
Very glad that all the Migrants made it safely. 🙏 It is a huge risk that they took, they are brave. No matter what happens in the future, wish them all the best and hope they continue to persevere and won't regret their decision... This series makes us very grateful to ou paternal and maternal grandparents who were illiterate for braving oceans more than 80 years, escaped the famine in Tang Shan (Chlna) and settled on this little red dot. 🙏🙏🙏
I watched the 3 parts and this over and over again. This documentary touches my heart. Like what Chia said, it really makes our daily problems insignificant. Thanks to this fantastic team for a great production. I am so glad that you all are safe and the profiles finally reach their destination and could continue to stay there. Award deserving.
CNN did this route 2 years ago, ABC Australia did this route hike the Daren Gap 5 years ago. I met 4 Venezuelans last month, 1 of them spoke a little English, he told me he paid $1,500 to the coyotes.. DW Germany did this type of migrants crossing Morocco borders to the Spain territory in Africa also 2 years ago. Once they cross, they are technically in EU
Watched all 3 episodes plus this. Again, kudos, bravo! for a very insightful, frightening and sad documentary. And, I’m just happy nothing bad happened to the team. Good quality documentary.
Best documentary I've ever watched. Thanks to the team who is willing to undertake such an dangerous mission with so many uncertainties. Thanks to the profiles who really radiates kindness and love. I wish them all the best in their new life.
Really enjoyed this documentary! What really stood out in was not so much how they managed to capture the journey of the people but how Du Wei felt personally connected to them, esp the scene where she called the police on behalf of the family with the kid when they were lost.. We may all have been been curious initially as to why the Chinese would make such a journey & started watching the documentary but halfway through, we felt pulled in and just wished for all of them to make it safely to US even though they are entering illegally. The illegal immigration through the Durien Gap is not a new topic but yet this documentary has certainly given a fresh perspective to it due to the profiles.
I love that family, they are so funny and warm, i wish them and all a very good life in US. You guys did a very good job, was very emotional and you guys was very compassionate even though you couldn’t help them was very beautiful to see how much you care.
thank you for your impecable journalism, this docu was very eye opening and humbling, i pray success for every family and person who's story was covered and the crew who made this happen ❤❤
Seriously huge props to all you guys!! Truly amazing work!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I only wish to know what happened to those other two that split off early on, I hope they’re safe.
Amazing documentary series! I watched it in one seating and it was really heart-wrenching. Watching this just made me appreciate it your output more. Kudos to the team!
Best documentary on the darian gap / migrant journey to US. After watching the CNA series, I went to watch other similar documentaries and videos by CNN, scmp and youtubers. This one by CNA is a clear winner for presenting a fuller picture of the journey beginning from Ecuador and then concluding in the US, and for being able to follow closely the story of the family from start to end.
I really like this documentary that you did guys, i'm teary eyed everytime i've seen the struggling.. surviving.. the pain... the hardships.. the difficulties for everybody to made this documentary of chinese migrants who wanted to have AMERICAN DREAM. I salute you guys. Job super well done👏👏👏 amazin' TEAM❤️❤️❤️
Possibly the best documentary i have ever watched. This behind the scenes is the icing on the cake. Amazing job to the production team. Really made our daily problems small when seeing what they had to go through.

This is not good Singaporean or Asian journalism. Rather, it is outstanding world class journalism! This is the second CNA documentary by Wei Du and team that I have binge watched. (If one hasn't seen One Way, one should definitely make the effort.) Thank you and your team for your courage and efforts in making such a fantastic documentary about such a timely topic. You also blend the highest of journalistic integrity with kindness and compassion. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job of letting the participants tell their own stories and presenting everything in such an unbiased manner.
Impressive. Well planned and good adaptation to circumstances. I think this is the kind of journalism that get readers and viewers interested. I will look out for more CNA insider documentaries because of this. Glad that the entire is safe and sound.
