I really liked the retouching part. It was great to see what was done in retouching. I liked it all, but the best part was the retouching. Loved the description of the lighting. I really needed that.

Seriously just encouraged me to pursue trying more product photography despite how overwhelming it can all seem. Thank you!

Love how you walk through your mindset for lighting. What do you want to achieve and work towards it not falling back onto a "set-up" system

I liked the "why" explanations of the lights. "I wanted 'x' so I did 'y'" kind of thing. Made sense to me at least.

Hi Scott. I first watched this video on the day that you posted it. I have just watched it again and I am very grateful to you for posting it. It's unlikely that I would attempt such a shot - I don't have the space - but the way that you approached the lighting: scrims, flags etc. was very interesting: no formulaic setup, just bespoke. Thanks very much. Good to see the re-touching, too.

Good stuff on the lighting. I like not having to edit my commercial work. My personal projects I enjoy the editing process.

Your videos are excellent - I'm not big into product / drink photography but your comments and insights about lighting are spot on. Why wouldn't you tailor the light and build it around the aesthetic you want? Great stuff!

Hi Scott. Love this video, I purchased your lighting download recently, and as a relative newbie it really helped me start off on the path of each lighting scenario is different, and there are no standard set ups. With bottle product photography, if you had to shoot an image of 6-10 different bottles in one image, would you shoot them all separately and put them together in photoshop, or try and shoot them all together?

Love it - what's the light set up? there are no lighting set ups. I get it. Even as someone who is just learning how to shoot this type of photography, I often question those who advocate "the right way" to do things mentality. It's not the real world. Working environments of any kind never go according to expectations or strategy. What you should have are the tools and skills to apply when you need them. I think this sums up your approach here Scott. As always, appreciate the effort and transparency in sharing this BTS!

please keep making this kind of video! I've learned so much with in luch a little time If you could leave the image in front when you're talking about it (like when you said you didn't like the reflections in the last image) it would be super useful too. Thank you!!

This vertical line of the background, so close to the right edge of the (first) glass, is really very disturbing (IMHO)

Do you know of anywhere that supplies large fake ice cubes? I use the regular sized ones a lot, and have plenty of them. But I've never been able to found large acrylic cube or sphere ice like the size you're using here. Cheers

There will be model makers in large cities, especially those cities that have many commercial photography studios. Good cubes are not inexpensive. Custom ones, will be even more.

Not sure why I cannot get past.... "Drink Photography". Have you ever shot a 'Eat Photography'? It is a beverage! Drink is what you do with that beverage. Just like eat is what you with food. (or throw it at the screen) jajajajajajaja. Another great video. Thanks.

@@TinHouseStudioUK Didn't realize you can make a living supporting a family, pay property or rent, and keep a studio on..... "technical food shots"!! Go you!!! I do enjoy your vids, and reminds me of how things are done with less hacking, and more time...How do you get your clients?

@@TinHouseStudioUK Maybe make a video about the ad agencies and agent, perhaps in a general manner for other highly specific shooters. Maybe how one can get started or show their work to a ad agency. That would be vital.
