Behind the Scenes - The Forest | Slipping Out 

Hey Everyone, thank you so much for all the support on the video!!! Just to answer a few questions, in reference to me saying about stopping making the Slipping Out episodes. The reason for this is purely on the amount of time they take to create. I mentioned recently in a gaming interview, that I have gone part time from my full time job to try and put more time into Slippy Slides to progress the channel. Obviously this comes with a HUGE pay drop. Bearing that in mind, some of these videos have taken 30 hours+ for just one video, from start to finish to create. To put that in perspective, in my normal job the average wage is £11 per hour, so £330 for 30 hours before tax. The Alan Wake episode has made a revenue of (DRUM ROLL) £12.71 ($15.53)... minus the cost of the game = £2.71 ($3.33) profit... amazing ha ha! I know RU-vid isn't all about ad-revenue, I started for the love of making the videos and gaming, it's still a big part of it, however like any creator, I also need to earn a sustainable living whilst creating the videos... Currently for the time it takes and for the revenue back, this is not working at the moment, and if push comes to shove, I'll need to go back to work, hence why the videos will stop as I will not have time to make them. i actually enjoy your videos as a small indie dev as i learn about the out of bounds tricks that are used for optimization purposes.But come on people,don't be lazy about the thumbs up button!11+k views and only 847 thumbs up.You can just click the thumbs up icon before starting to watch if you tend to forget.It is not that difficult.

Please don't stop making this. This kind of content fascinates me and I share your videos on multiple game/animation development and entertainment related discords. Sometimes while I'm doing tedious design work I put your content on in the background just to have something going on in the background tangentially related to my work. I look forward to every upload no matter what kind of media you've ended up covering. I know there are limits to how much interesting stuff there can actually be in games and how many games you've accessed camera control to but I swear I learn something new with every upload.

As much as we like to hate on the YT algorithm, i would have never found nor would i have ever searched for this. i played this game long ago and didn't know i wanted to see the things you showed me. But today this video just showed up in my recommended out of the blue. And after hearing that you might have to step away from content like this due to monetary constraints... I don't know lol... You should do Wolfenstein II, there are many cutscenes where your skills could be used so we can see what happens from other points of view

You deserve so much more recognition on your videos than you’re getting. Most of us will understand if you decide to stop. I’ll miss slipping out though as they’re some of my favorite videos on youtube and I find them so interesting! The last two cut scenes are not prerendered :D The camera is just animated, thats why freecam doesnt work. Adding a second camera to the game would work.

Jeez it's been a while since I played this game..I think it was 2015 😂😂😂😂😂 This video was amazing as always and it was kinda nice to see how detailed the things were even if we couldn't see them clearly. Anyway, the end of this video made me very sad because I can feel how upset you are over the loss of likes for the video you put so much effort to. I know how it feels like, I had a let's play channel for 2 years and had for 2 fcking years 25 follower. I stopped but only because I know that there are too much lets player on RU-vid and since I'm a woman, there are not much viewers anyway. But your content is very very special and except for sheezez I don't know any other youtuber that looks behind the scenes. You have many followers and I can feel it that soon you will have more and more. The important thing is that you do everything out of love and passion. I write my first book currently and I am afraid that its not good enough and no one will buy it but then am like "calm down Asta, people will feel your passion and share it with you one day". I know there are dark days but you have many followers and in this comments there are so many people that want you to stay. Half of them maybe don't comment under every video because everyone watches videos differently, the ones like me comments everytime and say how much they likes it and the other watch it and say "I love it" but don't say anything just because they are not the types for this. Well..uhm..I already wrote a whole chapter on this video, I hope you rethink about your retirement and just make a pause for a while. tbh i dont think you should use this one video as a good way to determine if this series is worth it. I mean no offense to the forest, but the hype behind this game died out a while ago... this type of content can get views, you just need to hit the right audience. I can totally understand if you just want to do the games you want to do and not conform to the right audience, though.
