I saw the show twice and was amazed by how everything went EXACTLY wrong at the same time, at the same que. Actors are amazing, but these guys are the real, unsung heroes of the show that goes wrong.
I can’t even imagine the difficulty of making sure everything happens exactly as required let alone now making it all happen out of sync, props to the techs for being on top of it
It would be more distracting for the actor to hear every cue and also remember to do their job, is my guess. The real stage manager is calling a lot of cues and there's always chatter on headset.
You can thank JJ Abrams for that. He saw the show in London and brought it to America. It is currently running at the New World Theater in NYC and as a touring production.
The original Mischief crew did premiere the play on Broadway before American actors took over the parts. :) Much like how they are premiering Peter Pan Goes Wrong on Broadway *right now* ! :D
It looks like a load of random nick-nacks they found from an electrical supplier that they've shoved on a mount to "look" like a lighting desk. Modern lighting desks normally have a couple of monitors and a load of faders and buttons. Would expect they'll use an ETC desk for this with it being a theatre show in reality. What the actors playing with is just a prop that does nothing. There will be a real lampy somewhere in the box actually controlling the lighting.
@@charliek7896 I was making a joke..the fact you assumed my tone as being rude and felt the need to have a go at me 5 months. later says a lot more about you than it does about me. You could have just assumed the best of someone and just move on.
That's the problem with commenting on RU-vid, everyone assumes you're being rude or insulting first before considering if it was perhaps just a friendly joke.
Patrick Hare I am not. It was some of the most painful hours of my life. I can not understand how anyone was enjoying it. I would have walked out if I was not with others.
