Back in 84 I rented a new Subaru wagon when vacationing in Colorado. We put over 1500 miles on and beat the hell out of the poor car going on all the high pass dirt roads I could find. The car did so well we bought one when we got back home!
I've been enjoying your vids featuring this awesome little Subie! Loads of fun to watch. I hope you keep it around awhile. I find the older vehicles you guys feature a lot more interesting than the new ones. That Samurai you had was fun too.
My uncle had a green one. His CB handle was, "The Green Machine." He did not operate the CB radio legally. He had no CB license and some sort of amplifier. He used to say if the FCC pulled him over he would say he was hearing impaired and the CB radio needed the amplifier. He did not need a license because he only wanted the radio for an emergency. The FCC never caught him. Rest in peace uncle Jose. I still love you.
I had this Subaru in high school. We called it the pig cuz it just went through everything. It literally took me everywhere I wanted to go. The carburetor was the weak point and I think we rebuilt it like 3 times before I was done with it.
I love the old days when cars were just give it gas and whatever it does it does not this electronic crap that does stuff for you that doesn't work all the time
Are you guys hiring? I have back ground as a mechanic and fabricator. Could be a cool asset to the team, doing vehicle modifications or on trail emergency repair?
I was just thinking the same thing. Could that Gladdy tow their new trailer and the GL? I'm sure that they drove it at least one way to create content. Buddy of mine had one of those in High School, course at the time it was only 5 years old. Gutless as hell since we live in Flagstaff, AZ which is 7,000', but ALL Japanese cars were gutless back then. It was awesome in the snow tho.
