I've never played any Fallout games. I fully understand I'm missing out on a great story. I hope to someday even get to experience that story, when I'm ready. Please don't turn off whatever video game I'm playing and force me to play the final levels of Fallout 2.

@@SomeRU-vidTraveler Luckily, nobody has to pay money to consume CR content, and it's always available so there's no time limit on how long you can spend catching up. You can choose to be unhappy by doing nothing, or you can choose to do the things that will allow you to enjoy what is happening, thereby removing the source of your perturbation. There's no objective answer, do whatever you like, but don't blame CR for putting in a side quest that is directly related to the backstory of two main characters (Orym and Fearne), includes an actual member of Bell's Hells (Dorian), will only last a few episodes tops, and is clearly giving Sam time to develop his new character.

You really don't get why people are upset? They leave us off with that incredible turn of events then blue ball everyone right after with a sudden surprise that just did not feel good at all.

@@jackalope_hunterYeah, no, I don’t get that. I was very excited to have a small side quest with the Crown Keepers and it made perfect sense to me for it to happen right in that moment that it did. Sorry you don’t feel the same. There’s no objective right or wrong for Critical Role to play it, so I’m not *surprised* some people are upset by it, but I don’t have to understand it. I just hope you’ll recognize that there’s no sense remaining upset over it bc, at the end of the day, it’s just a bunch of nerdy voice actors sharing their game with us for free. It’s not like you’re paying for it. And if you are, you’re not *obligated* to.

Fully respect your opinion - I respectfully disagree. Either way, it's their game, and Matt made it clear from the start of C3 that it was going to be different. He said he wasn't going to be the only DM telling this story, and that they were going to be experimenting with more than one plot thread. This is the story they want to tell. If you don't like it, that's completely fine, but they're not telling it for you.

You must be new to CR. They're not here for the viewers, they're here to play D&D the way THEY want to. We just get to come along for the ride.

Well. You know Dorian and Orym and Fern? This is the group they were with until Campaign 3 happened. It makes sense to me. Orym is worried about Dorian and needs him. So we're seeing what's happening with Dorian.

You don't have to like it by any means but it's their game and they're having fun. The audience get to come along for the ride but do NOT dictate it, and it's always been that way. If you haven't watched Exandria Unlimited or even care about that part of the world then maybe this just isn't for you - The Crown Keepers was Orym's and Fearne's ORIGINAL group, so going back to how Orym keeps reaching out to Dorian (along with a literal side plot already of a heist with Dorian) it's actually makes sense they'd see how he's doing. And literally every fan keeps asking about Dorian so they ARE aware how beloved that genasi became and how well he fits with the group - with Orym constantly trying to contact him too, it's a natural progression to involve him more. Sucky you don't like it but it happens.
