Clicked on the video thinking I was going to learn how Scherzer holds his pitches. Left the video with MASN Sports forever ingrained into my memory. The video editing was really top-notch here.
@@PorkTips False... that's like saying I will show you the foot placements on a skateboard in order to kickflip, then you thinking you can immediately execute it.
*Waiting to see how he grips the fastball* Instead shows all the pitches he throws, how often, the speed, for 30 seconds, instead of what we came here for.
Yeah but it's basically because we chose to keep paying Verlander more than keeping him. I'm pretty sure he's the only pitcher we have left from the time where we had one of the best SP line ups
I wish they would let the video play and show max explain his grip so we can see what he's talking about and not pan out to the stupid still screens that does not help with what were trying to learn. I clicked this video to see max not a still shot of his record or advertising
Yes, Max and the rest won't tell the secret. I know the secret slider and am slowly getting it out there. I tell players, scouts, coaches the last 2 years and very slowly it is happening. I told Scout Del Unser at Dbacks training 2017 vs mexico and now Patrick Corbin is throwing the Carlton slider I told Unser about. Joe Garagiola told me in 1978 and now I'm passing it on to you and others. No video needed, just get a ball and throw it like a football, STIFF WRIST. It will work first time. I'm on facebook, key in slider slider I have a dated video from 2016 showing the simple grips and then saying the important information in 28 seconds. Good Luck!
Why don’t you show Max’s pitching percentages and your blog name (masnsports) in the beginning rather than displaying them while he is demonstrating his grips? It’s bothersome and annoying.
Pitching has so many weird little things to it that you'd think wouldn't matter but they do. The change up with the rotating wrist is so awkward to throw.
Max doesn't tell u enough to throw the slider. You tube Roger Beshens. There's a video I show you in 3 seconds not only a slider, but a Hall Of Fame slider. Max is a nice, funny, extremely talented guy but these guys will always leave a key detailed ingredient out!
I know Im gonna sound like an idiot when I ask this. But I truly don't know. Can pitchers throw with gloves, fingerless gloves or tape on the front or back knuckles? Or must they pitch with bare hands?
So let me get this change up right...ring finger on NW seam, pinky on SW seam, thumb on on SE seam. Keep wrist loose, rip with ring finger, and slight pronate at end while keeping fastball arm speed. Ok. That’s only like...friggin impossible. I may need a couple more lifetimes to master that
You tube Steve Carlton slider montage. Grab a ball, throw it like a football, STIFF WRIST. If you throw it over the top it will have a massive drop. 3/4 slot will be Andrew Miller action. You don't need any pressure on the middle finger or any of that, the ball will spin from hand perfectly just doing a 4 seam grip on the LABEL. Once you learn your break it's important to find the right spot on the rubber to maximize effectiveness. Good Luck!
They did that crap on purpose I’ve watched other tutorials on pitches and they do the same thing( where they put something over it so you can’t actually see how he throws it)
Wow Mason! That’s some real terrible production there! Just when one of the best pitchers in the game is showing you how he throws the baseball and you are relentless with the channel screen overlay! There has to be a reason you did this but it wasn’t a great idea!
Please repost with more cutaways to more graphics and self-promotion. There weren’t enough. BTW, Scherzer, like all great pitchers, is an artist. Can’t teach this.
Movement can't be taught. Breaking balls can. Carlton slider, throw it like a football, STIFF wrist. Over the top massive drop, 3/4 slot great slurve like Andrew Miller.
Yes thank you for putting your logo over anything he might have shown us that is important. 20 second plugs for the page is ridiculous. Last thing I will ever watch on this page for sure. Forget sharing this with other players I know. They would just hate me for wasting their time.
They don't really need to put video's out like this to make people hate the Nets because their arrogance makes most hate them already. I guess just a cherry on top.
Just throw it like a football, STIFF wrist. Over the top massive drop, 3/4 slot nice slurve. All these guys smile, laugh and don't want to give their secret away. That's why I'm slowly getting the word out and fight back so another guy will get more publicity. Patrick Corbin is my latest success, I told scout Del Unser, spring training 2017 and didn't take long. The slider i mentioned above is the Steve Carlton slider, the best one! You tube Steve Carlton slider montage, see for yourself. Good Luck!
I'll tell you what everyone who watched this video, including myself, won't ever do - visit masn sports - ever. Get outta here with that crap. We came here to learn from Max, not get bombarded by your no-name web site.
SALVATION is the most important thing in this life, it’s you accepting JESUS’s free gift to enter heaven when you die, you don’t have to be perfect you don’t even have to be good. You just gotta believe JESUS died for you and as it says in John 3:16 “For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” And if you believe that and want to say a prayer like this you can “Our father in heaven I believe I’m a sinner and I repent of my sins, GOD I believe that you sent your one and only son to die for us and GOD I Believe that you rose your son from the dead three days later, and JESUS come into my heart and save me.” And if you believe that you can be saved rn
Right off the bat, terrible job with the stats rather then on Mac's hold on the ball from beginning to end. Just hold the stats for the end. Just constantly getting off of the hand hold makes this vide9 totally useless.
I throw my 4 seam grip and it moves like a 2 seam, as well. So, i never understood how pitchers can control if they want their fastball to ride straight or tail / sink on command. It's def more than switching a grip
Yeah, i know. I'm just curious how i can choose whether to add tail / sink to my fastball or to throw a riding fastball, which stays elevated & doesn't move
Throw 2 seamers and hope you get a tail or sink. But here is your bread and butter. Throw it like a football, STIFF wrist, over the top massive drop. 3/4 slot nice slurve like Andrew Miller. Grip it like a 4 seam fastball but on the LABEL, NOT the horseshoe. You tube Steve Carlton slider montage and watch your new breaking ball. His is the over the top release. Everything is fastball mode until arm starts coming forward, then throw like football, STIFF WRIST. Good Luck!
Oh my god with the fucking pop ups.. scherzer's talking and explaining how to hold the ball and where to put the ring finger and what not and I see nothing but a..... .com... goodbye
