Her beauty, her dialogue delivery, her control over her expressions, her emotional intelligence to absorb the character of Anne Boleyn, yes yes yes yes Natalie, you did justice to Queen Anne Boleyn.
@@johnbaptist6526 She was the only one who escaped being beheaded by Henry!! :( Thank God!! But I do feel badly for her because she was shoved aside for Anne Bolyen... And then their daughter (Mary) was thrown aside too... And made to be a maid to her half sister Elizabeth... Which turned out oh so lovely...
@@deendrew36 true but I believe Henry was not to wed her if it weren't for his brother, king Arthur. And Katherine was not killed, she was divorced and died peacefully. Katherine loved her first husband and treated Henry like her brother but of course with respect. Unlike Anne, she loved Henry but like the man he is, just cast her off when he was manipulated.
Dee J I hate being that person, but I wanted to just point out Arthur was never king. He died years before Henry VII, many of which had Katherine hanging in limbo with her father not wanting to take her back home and Henry VII not thrilled at the idea of paying for her. Henry decided to marry her very soon after his father died and they were both coronated. She did not peaceably get divorced, but fought it tooth and nail, defying insane pressure to do so, to the point of not seeing her daughter again after Henry laid out an ultimatum. I think you’re spot on about Anne, and although there’s more we don’t know about some of her situation, I do believe she was innocent. They seemed to go out of their way in the trial to be lurid, almost... pornographic, to provoke outrage. And many of the dates they accused her of cheating she simply could not have been in that place with that person at that time. It’s so at odds with Katherine Howard’s trial that it really does seem Henry just wanted rid of her.
@Markel Beverley Well, that's not necessarily fair to say, but someone from that time period would agree if they disliked her. Her character throughout history has been shamed and painted negatively by those who were successful in plotting her downfall and it's carried through the centuries. Although in general, I felt the saddest for Henry and Jane, who had their happiness torn from them when she died. He hadn't planned on spurning her, especially not after Edward was born. Hopefully she would have had another son or two and some girls and they would have been a happy family and things would have turned out much different. Jane brought hope with her, and then it died with her, and Edward was already sickly, so there was bound to be a succession crisis with doubts that he would live to his uncle Arthur's age. Which, if I remember correctly, he didn't. He hadn't even married/been betrothed, although they tried to get him with Jane Grey I think, but we all know how well that turned out...
@@MsTNSmith I do wonder had Jane survived, how long would their marriage have lasted? Would Henry have got fed up with her too at some point? The fact that she had died young, so tragically after giving him what he wanted, did this put Jane on a pedistool anyway in Henry's eyes - does that make sense? At the end of the day no matter how unfortunate Jane and Edwards deaths were, Elizabeth truly proved herself to be one of Britain's most iconic and amazingly strong monarchs this country has ever seen in my opinion.
i LOVE natalie's portrayal of Ann bolyen, amazingly beautiful and charming, through her way of talking, expression on face, look in her eyes, and walking gestures, everything! the speech given at the begining of this video is also very powerful with enchantments. Her voice is just magnetically alluring.
allthough she looks bettter with dark hair in my eyes, i suppose that she was just tired to see herself with the same haircolour after the production of the show^^ guess she wanted a change :) i like her voice a lot, calm and confident :) she should do more stuff like this^^
She likes to go back to her natural color when she's not working. She's naturally blonde. I'm naturally brunette, but I have my hair coloured blonde. I can tell you that it's very hard to upkeep an extreme colour change like that. I usually have my roots done every four weeks or so. It's costly and tedious...
Kysfallen I believe when she played Queen Anne Boleyn in The Tudors that was actually her real hair... just colored. I remember seeing photos of her out and about during that time and her hair was dark when she wasn't on set.
Nicholas Rue Possible - but as it has been pointed out, maintaining a color so drastically different from your natural color is tedious (plus as an actress it means your other roles you must color your hair again, or have a wig anyway). For Margaery she definitely wears a wig though.
I'm assuming she probably dyed it back to blond after season two filming finished. And then she dyed it to dark brown when she filmed her scene for the finale. 😊
@PinchinTheBear Totally agree. I was so sad when the series ended since we all know history didn't end there and you would love to see the story continue. Sarah Bolger played a brilliant Mary, she was beautiful and gracious, but you could already see little signs of what would become ''Bloody Mary''.
After obsessing over the show for the past couple of years,I finally got a chance to visit the Tower..and it was everything I thought it would be..and more!
I'm re-watching this series and I also did some study on the Tudor history, and it amazes me how much she looks like Anne Boleyn. If Anne Boleyn really did look like that, then she must have gorgeous. Fun fact: I found out on my father's side I'm related to Anne, she my auntie. :D
What a good idea, reviving this awesome footage from one my favorite shows. I never missed an episode. The added history is fantastic. PS.. I loved you as Anne bolyn
I loved her hair in the tudors! Of course it was always perfectly done up with all the jewels and hairdresses. But still think that gorgeous dark brunette suits her.
I think she is beautifull with both colors, blonde and brunnette. Natalie Dormer is one of the most beautiful actresses I have ever seen, her eyes are amazing. And, in my opinion, she was the perfect Anne Boleyn!
Loved the clip, I had a past life regression reading and told me I was born into a royal home tudor..... I ways found eliz 1 very enduring and found her fascinated since an early age.....interesting really really interesting X
Oh, they were. They were very crude things back then and armies were still mostly melee-based, but primitive firearms had been used by armies even before Henry's time.
is this going to be on on of the dvds in the series? I love this, this is so cool, the tudor period is cool. do not want to live during that time, but never the less they changed and made history
