The Honda Civic project continues with the HIGHLY requested Yonaka Catback exhaust install! This budget friendly exhaust system is the PERFECT fit for my Civic and sounds every bit as good as it looks!
It's about DAMN TIME! The Honda Civic exhaust that people WANT to hear can now be heard. In this video we install the Yonaka Motorsports Exhaust as well as replace the Oil drain pan on my Civic. Following the install, I give you the Honda Civic exhaust sounds that you've all been waiting for! A couple civic fly by's, vtec crossovers, revs, and idle sounds of my D16Y8. I think you'll agree that this is one of the best sounding exhausts for the civic!
Thanks to Jason (low_psi_evo) and Brian (Gear Head Detailing), we were able to team up to fix up my budget civic! The lift at Brian's shop was a HUGE help with installing the exhaust and the Oil pan. While I'm no expert, I show you how to remove the oil pan to fix any oil leaks and how to install the exhaust system. The ONLY hangups during the install were the 02 sensors and stuck catalytic converter. I recommend spraying the bolts with PB blaster days in advance (like I didn't do).
Needless to say, the new Civic exhaust is a huge improvement over my rusted stock exhaust in comparison. My stock muffler had a huge hole and exhaust leak that was not exactly "clean." I plan on giving you guys a long term review of the Yonaka Catback in the future, but in he short term I couldn't be happier with how it sounds. Huge thanks to Yonaka Motorsports for sending this pipe out for the Civic Project Car!
