@Sideways G depends if the short ram is blocked off by a proper air box. short rams lose power IF there is no air box to properly block hot air from cold air. short rams have a shorter travel and therefor higher air velocity. The best bet would be a short ram air intake that is properly fed cold fresh air with an airbox
Hey, have you considered putting a used Android tablet instead of the stereo you have now? it would be a cool little project and you could have music, maps, OBD scanner and all that good stuff. Just throwing it out there
I wish I could find a civic as clean as yours! Love the project, have been following since day 1, keep it up, I really look forward to these civic vlogs!
Look at the last few seconds of the video. There's the clip of it in the beginning. Didn't start out clean but look at it now! Just need a bit of time and effort and it can be clean.
@@ALLDAYANTHONY I tried squinting, still saw diamond. Squeezed harder, and saw honeycomb. You gotta go past squinting to actually see the honeycomb. Your camera is too good for squinting to work.
You can also go for the OEM 2000 spec EK front bumper with raybrig foglights, not sure if you had that in USDM but we had it here in our Civic SiR sedans here in Philippines. :) Overall your Civic is so nice. Simple but well executed. But i wish you can put back the Honda emblem in your Si grille. :)
So I've got an 04 civic lx. So unfortunately no vtec:( I really don't want to buy a new car and I love my car anyways. I do want to make it faster though so I'm planning on getting new wheels and tires, coilovers, exhaust, cold air intake, and a turbo in that order. If you were in my shoes and didn't have a lot of money to spend would you recommend just upgrading my car or get an ex and upgrade that?
I remember my first car was this civic exactly clean as this. Just came across one for cheap and want to get to what my former first car what. I watch this video so often because it makes me reminisce my first car. Anyways I love this civic build video
black and red is a classic combination, specially in a designers stand point im a designer, and they always tell us that the most striking and eye catching colour combinatons that would lure people in are Black with red, and Blue with white. shades matter too. so definitey, good choice. i personally think this is one of the cleanest builds out there love it haha
I have a '97 ex coupe, planning a GSR swap (B18C1) you might be able to find one at a junkyard and the B series responds to mods far better than our D16Y8
just like what i did to my '91 Toyota Corolla GTi. every piece is pretty much stock, except for the wheels, exhaust, and audio setup. simple, clean, and good looking. sometimes, less is more
I love the clean and respectable look you are going with, this is very similar to how i want to build my EJ8 that i just bought. Its a perfect frame and body with no rust, A b18b1 swap with rebuilt transmission, and Skunk 2 coilovers. Now i just need to spend the time to clean it up inside and make it perfect!
I've had two sets of these konigs. I actually bought the first set when they first came out and waited 3 months to get them. (Backorder).... I went from 15 to 16 due to going to a k series swap. Im so Happy with them. I also had the truhart suspension as well.... After almost a year, the coilovers started giving out on me. I switched to "bc racing". And love them. I also have some more aggressive tires on my car. That was a big deal as well. Both of those changes have been so helpful and noticable. Good build
This is a clean build keep up the good work would love to see you drop a small chinese choo choo boi under the hood or a swap under the hood in the future :D
I drove an S2000 about two weeks ago. I agree, my next mod is going to be an S2000 steering wheel swap. It feels amazing. It’s hard to describe, you just have to feel it yourself to fall in love with it.
6:07, you can do hid headlights thatt switch between 3ish k and 6k and to me thats the ticket cause you can switch it when behind someone and not burn their eyes
I wish I could find new back seats for my civic at Jalopy. Parts for an EG hatch are damn near impossible to come by at the junkyard. I've looked through all four of them near by, and nothing!
If you *really* want back seats I believe the del sol, 6th gen and crx seats fit in the back. However. You can also buy rear seat deletes which also look great
@@gsjourney3054 I'm sure he has a po box that he gets stuff sent too that's what I was getting too lol yeah he needs this header I dont I also have a stage 2 clutch kit with a lighten fly wheel as well
My experience with HID's, the lights makes it hard to see the amber side blinkers. Because HID's go all over the place so it'll look like you're not using your turn signals to on coming traffic even with an LED turn signal thats amber its hard to see. But after I switch to LED headlight, you can see the amber turn signal even if its just the halogen bulb.
I would of, PasswordJdm CF Intake 3 Post Mount Strut Bar (Front) Usdm Dc2 Type-R Sway Bars Carbon Fiber Dizzy Cover Carbon Fiber Heat resistant cover Eye Lids Jdm Foglights w/ Carbon Fiber Bezel (Housing) CF Spoon mirrors (Rep) Maybe few other things I love how the interior came out. Those covers look really good.
Got a 93 civic I’ve been doing a bunch of maintenance on. Coming from daily driving a bmw, all the parts are so cheap, except wheels. Funny to think about a set of rpf1s being over half the cost of the car itself 😂
I am about to have around $3500 to buy a car. IAM wanting a decent Civic. But everything I see is eather riced out of they want $6000 for there turd that isn't in good condition. Around how much would a clean factory Civic with no more than 200,000 miles on it cost? Then how much does one like this go for??? Anyone with advise I thank you.
Hi 👋 Anthony This is Ashish Mathew. I bought myself a Civic 99. Wanted to do a budget build, inspired by yours. What kind of a video set up u use for the channel.
Please do not listen to this guy when he thinks it's ok to put HIDs without retro fitting with projectors. You will get so much hate not because it's a "honda" but because you're blinding everybody on the road.
This is my first car and I modded it a little and It looks almost (not as good) exactly like your car, I love it, everyone in high school thinks it is a pretty cool car, and I think it is the perfect car for me to take to highschool. Thanks for sharing your knowlage and inspiration on the civic build!
No man, the difference is not that there's more cars with HIDs, the projector housing focuses the spread in a way that doesn't hit other driver's eyeline.
I think what I meant to say is that there IS more cars with projector housing HID’s but there is also more people running HID’s with reflective housing nowadays anyway
With the HID headlights, if you buy the bi-xenon bulbs then you retain the low beam/high beam, which allows you to adjust the the headlights a little lower than factory which will compensate for the brighter bulbs and still have the high beams for when you need them
ALLDAYANTHONY yea I have a 99 ex coupe and I got the bi-xenon HID bulbs and have low beam and high beam, and was able to adjust them so people don’t get blinded by mine
A red sohc vc is kinda cringe, slightly tacky. Of course powdercoat will hold up for 4 months. Blinding everyone because everyone else is doing it, is a pretty poor excuse, especially if you're trying to share build ideas. Hubcentric rings don't change spacing, not sure what you're talking about there.
You should’ve went with 195 5015 my car looks almost exactly like yours black rims my rims are different they’re five star rims which I like a hell of a lot better by the way but to each his own. And when I first got my car lowered I had to I think it was what you have exactly 205- 65-15 (I know u said 50) I think is what it was they rubbed like hell. Once I went to the 195 5015 beautiful I might even have a RU-vid video of my car on there I neglected it I’ve had my car like 13 or 14 years now and the first 5 to 10 years I had that car it was beautiful perfect paint I need everything about it was great all the time I had kids relationship with the same girl for 22 years and I bought a truck and I started neglecting her she just sat parked in the fucking street for a couple years. But five months ago or so I decided it’s time to bring her back to her glory and beyond so she’s well on her way now. By the way I love how clean that civic is super clean. One thing I really would advise though is get the black housing headlights it would complement your car so well I just did my own
