This is a synth unboxing video for the Behringer Kobol Expander with a casual review and demo of some sound design and an electronic music jam at the end. I talk a bit about the design of the synth and how it would easily integrate into a modular system via the plentiful control voltage options. No affiliation with Behringer. Thanks!

Same thing happened on the CAT from Behringer, I’m clueless why that is but I think it can be fixed easily! Mine is coming next week! I love Sweetwater cause I waited more than 3 months to get it and finally they shipped that out!

Most of the demos are made with volume of the oscillators at maximum, and here you don't go above 12h. While things happen above 12h with the saturation of the filter, in the territory where we have "The Kobol sound". with your work on the modulations it is a cool demo, in any way. It could have been cool to see the work of the saturation on the waveform with your little wave viewer. It was one strength of the original kobol, to have a large span of tones, from soft to very fat, and then you play in a different territory than some other demos .

Hey, thanks for watching and thank you for your comments! This was meant to be an unboxing/first impressions/jam video, not really a demo per se, but your point about keeping basic things (like VCO levels) consistent is extremely helpful for future videos! I also noticed after the fact that I had the filter and resonance at 12h while exploring the waveforms, whereas ideally, I would have them in their default positions. All things to note for next time. I'm glad you liked it nonetheless and thanks again for your feedback!
