I didn't realise the minimoog (poly D) was so versatile: most other demos have very generic, gruff and vanilla sounds. But this: I'd consider buying this just from hearing this demo. I'm getting the Behringer Mono/Poly soon.
You definitely have an amazing composition here. I really enjoy it. I cannot believe how awesome this synthesizer sounds. I also appreciate you making some tunes with it. I finally bought one used. I spent a whole minute on it and decided I must get it. Then I spent another hour on it. I have to wait a whole month before I can play it again since Guitar Center has to hold all their used items for that duration (just in case their stolen). It's a lame rule, but I understand it. I almost paid an extra $300 to buy it new, but I decided to save the money for the Behringer Monopoly. I have the original Korg, but the Behringer has some sweet updates. :) I really cannot wait for the CS-80 they're working on. Anyway, I've written way too much. Take care, Sam.
Hey just a tip for everyone. I wanted to make a really big thumpy tech kick and found it difficult by routing filter EG (100%) to oscillator modulation. So I went into the synthtribe settings and put the modwheel to 300% and that did the trick. Now it gives a lot more oomph to whatever uses the modwheel, including that EG. Here are the patch settings: ModMix: Filter EG 100% (300%) ModWheel: 100% OSC1: 16', sqr, volume 3 OSC2: 32', sin, volume 10 (tune for thickness) NOISE: 1, white Cutoff: 0 Emphasis: 0.8 Contour: 6.5 Filter ENV: Atk 0, Decay 0.2(?), Sustain 1.1 (important to really dial in the decay just right, very sensitive!) Amp ENV: shape to taste
Sounds wonderful. I've been looking at the Model D version, but read calibrating the oscillators is a technical nightmare for someone not knowing how to do it. Does the Poly D have a similar way of calibrating the oscillators? Great video, thank you
Wow. This track is fantastic nomatter what you made it with. I canceled my PolyD when the MonoPoly was announced. I should be close to the front of the US preorders. I have a Polysix & need it's partner, that & the Osc sync made me go with that....can't afford both.
Very nicely composed. Exactly why I bought one. Just can't enjoy it right now until I build my studio. The MonoPoly is coming. Will you get one as well? I'm definitely getting one. Great music piece.
Thank you! :-) The MonoPoly...nice and exciting too. I have to admit, that I use it with my bandproject "final selection" as a Korg plugin. So I´m not sure. I have just bought the Pro1, the Neutron (very exciting too) and the Poly D. The Arp 2600 is on the horizon too and is on top of my wishlist.
@@riccardoschult2269Oh ok. Yes, I plan to get the Pro1 and the Neutron also. I'm pretty much going to get the whole Behringer lineup. They all sound good in my opinion. Very affordable compared to the older synths. But love what you're doing. Keep it going.
@@riccardoschult2269 I have just ordered the Pro 1 but now Ive discovered the Poly D and man Im much more into pads and polysynths. I think Im going to give the Pro 1 a few days, maybe a week to see if I dig it but Ill probably send it back to Sweetwater and order the Poly D. Your song is soooo good man where can I find it?
@@midinotes Off course man, the one and only jarre ! I always think he does not live anymore., and im always happy again when i remember he's still alive. Maybe i should like mail him, to say how much he means for this synthgeneration. Well, at least for me ! That oxygene stuff is in my blood.
Did you create this with a daw? How in heaven does the lfo of the poly d sync to the daw’s bpm? This is what made me not want to buy one and went with the Deepmind instead (amazing as well). I still thinking about purchasing one, but it HAS to integrate somewhat in my DAW. Filter sweeps, pitch and pwm modulation etc. This is because I really use my synths to create finished pieces of music like you did here. Not just to jam around. Anybody?
