What tripped me up the first couple times with mine is that when making a song, trying to chain the first pattern 4x (for a count-off) was completely unreliable. Sometimes it would only play once, twice, or three times (but rarely all 4). For some reason every pattern after the first in a song would work just fine. I am not sure if this is a glitch, or undocumented behavior. But I found a workaround, simply make a 64-step pattern for the count-in measures, and only have it play 1 iteration at the beginning of the song. That has worked for me reliably.
After 3 factory resets, once where the tap/hold button stopped working, i finally got the unit to chain patterns into a song - and stop after the last pattern as set in the preferences. My rd8 is finicky. I hope it keeps functioning properly.
I have since found that if you switch to another song bank (after saving your song) then switch back to the song you want to play it will somehow reset and play properly.
hi! it seems that each song can have 16 patterns and each pattern can have several loop bars... but it seems that the song is limited to 16 changes between different patterns... right?
Hello and thank you for your helpfull videos: there's a minimum number of patterns to chain in order to make a song ( I cannot chain two 16 step patterns!) ? also the manual is not clear about how to make a more of 16 steps pattern, I think we need your help :-)
Can you explain why when i rewind to the first pattern it sometimes doesn't play all the repeats i programmed? How do you make sure you've rewound right to the beginning?
