Can you use the RD-8 to send midi note data to an external synth? I don’t just mean start/stop. I’ve got it making various notes on an external synth when I’ve had say patterns playing on each of the parts, eg notes in hi hats/ kick drum and all of the others but it’s a bit random. Trying to find a way to find a correlation between the parts and notes, so I can make a baseline for example. I know they have sync out but my synth doesn’t have have sync in.

how would you do this on a roland TR8 tho? i am having the same issue, i use the TR8 as the master clock with midi out of the tr8 into the midi in of the crave.

So can you control the RD8 with an external pad unit like Maschine, or MPC-X? thanks

Thanks a lot, I have an RD-8 and a Crave I was going to make a special cable to use trigger out from the RD-8 to the tempo in on the crave but the RD-8 trigger signal is narrow and can't be used with the Crave and MS-101 but in this video you can with a special cable! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5d_lL8XwDCA.html. Good to know I can sync it this way as well.
