This is the true synth channel. A couple of old geezers trying to remember how din sync worked in the 80’s! This is the truth!! This shit is f’n confusing

Use a MIDI cable and change the MIDI channel on Crave or RD9 (flick one of the DIN switches on the back) that will stop them sending midi notes to each other and just sync start/stop/tempo

Effing great tutorials lads! I believe If you use the Behringer synth tool app you can change the clock source on the crave to midi (its set to internal by default) and then slave the crave to the rd8 using midi. SLAVE THE CRAVE!!! Shit thats my new catch phrase!

Good stuff thanks - I have got an odyssey midi out to model d midi in whilst also running a trigger out from odyssey to a Volca Sample and then running the Sample sync out to Volca keys sync in and then... sync out of keys to the sync in on the sq1... and then 😂 the sq1 midi out to the MS20 midi in and voila. That means I can run the sequencer on the Odyssey which drives the Model D whilst also hAving a separate sequencer in the sq1 running the MS20 but at the same tempo as everything else. And then finally I have the Volca keys sequencer... all synced. Took me some time to work it out and there are other ways of doing it - ie what sends signals where etc... but it works and have had a great Xmas holiday so far with everything synced up. Long winded explanation but peace and nice to see you going into the settings to save things properly. Didn’t know what was e plainer in this video and guessing it’s the same with the odyssey. Will try tomorrow. Thanks

Hi Chaps- what is best way to link up the Crave, the RD6 and the TD3? which cables etc and which settings for Midi/ Trig and INT on each? Thanks very much

Rd9 has a midi OUT channel as well as a midi channel. I tried changing only the midi channel and it didnt work, sent note values. Change the midi OUT channel on Rd9 to a different channel to the Crave. Works, but check rise and fall values if it doesnt quite sync. Maybe same for Rd8 havent bought one yet!

Any help on changing the rd8 tempo... eg.. tempo 120 but how do I change it too 120.4 for example? Any help appreciated

Change the midi channel on one of the instruments so that you don’t have the problem with the unwanted triggering of sounds. Midi clock is independent of the midi channel.

Your music is dope. Hi guys, one week ago I bought RD 8. Very big machine. I still have some difficulties to manage it. Can you help me to find any informative things. The documentation isn't so good. There are good videos in german?

if using midi you need to set the crave and rd8 to diff channels 0 that way the slave only gets clock info and NOT midi notes
