The iPad version of the app looks better and easier to use. Not sure why they don't have the same app on Android. I am looking forward to your other tutorials on these mixers.
The X Air app hasn’t been updated in years, didn’t bother me until I updated my iPad Pro to iOS 16, now I can’t get into the effects and equalizer because it just shuts the app off. SMH. And this mixer is still for sale with no support, we were about to purchase a second one at another church until I realized I could no longer control the EQ unless I bring an older laptop or tablet.
Hi everyone and complete for the video. I would have advice to ask you. I would like to buy a tablet or an iPad because it urges me a bigger screen to control my mixer and more comfortable than a computer, but I don't know if you are satisfied with the tablet or would like to spend more for an ipad. I looked at the reviews of the two apps and is a valley of tears in both cases. Those Android regret the Apple app for more comfort (appearance that in any case being on a tablet is not to be underestimated) and greater parameters. But I saw that for Apple has many defects and bugs. I wouldn't want to spend so much for a pad and then find me with an app that works badly. I have an Apple computer. But I never needed to buy a tablet or iPad, so I probably need only to control the parameters of the X Air mixer, at least I think. What would you recommend me? The comfort of the Apple app is negligible and can you get used to or may affect the performance? This is my greatest worry that led me to not immediately choose Android, besides the fact that having already the Mac could also be convenient to have another Apple instrumentation (even if so far it has never been served me and I wouldn't know what I could use it in a future). However I thought I was reconditioned in both cases.
Thanks for the overview; it is still a bit unclear to me how to save different shows, and how shows, scenes, and snapshots interact. I am using the IPad version of XAir. Thanks so much.
So I've got Channel 1 VOX send out on AUX 3 and Channel 2 Guitar sent out on AUX 4 to my IEM PSM L/R inputs. These have been assigned to BUS 1. The mute works fine but I still have no control over the faders to control the volume in my IEM. I'm sure I missed something... any ideas..
Great video. Need you to "get down into the weeds" with some additional videos with the iPad and X18. One on setting the channel gain. One on setting EQ for vocal and instrument. One for Gate, Dynamics and Compression. JOB SECURITY!! Thank you.
Thank you for this overview. You stated you didn’t want to get “in the weeds”, etc. What / where can you recommend I go to GET more “in the weeds” re: the IPad version of the app?
I'm having problems getting the app to find the mixer? My iPad finds and connects to the mixer wifi, but the app doesn't see it. Even if I put in the IP. Are the newer Ios versions supported?
Question: On each channel fader there is a small white arrow to the right of the slot pointing to the left. Is this a 0db marker or what? I don't see one on the Main fader though, which doesn't make sense. I haven't found any information on it.
La versión para iPad (la oficial de X air 18) no aparece, como que quitaron la versión original, y aparece otra genérica, la verdad es un asco!! Esa app que aparece allí en el Video ya no me aparece ami en el iPad!
How do you SIMPLY send the XR18's FX and EQ to a DAW along WITH the dry signal for each track? Our XR18's mix sounds perfect LIVE, and that's exactly what I want the computer to record! I DON'T want to add FX and EX to the tracks in the DAW later!
Shouldn’t bus 1 be aux 1 output and bus2 aux2 output and so on? Some reason I’m not getting the mix in my monitors you stopped the video exactly were I needed help. Thanks
