tristan the oofer 2 don’t worry man. I can’t even fc 3 stars so 😂. You’re better than me. And I still suck ass at the spinner. Yeah, 3 stars and still can’t do a single spinner, I feel like an idiot man 🤦🏼♀️. Oh, and I still can’t play them star maps all the way through. I can only get like halfway on some beat maps Edit: I’m now so much better at the spinners. They’re no longer a struggle for me. Now, aiming and alternating are the things I still need to work on
@@igobyross8045 I've increased in skill so technically? I haven't used MY account since my laptop broke. Although, I do sometimes use my cousins account.
same with my younger cousin ( his rank is like 3,020,000 ) he doesnt care cuz he always has fun playing the game whenever he plays it (most of the times with me)
But she straight up insulted me, someone who just reached 4 digits a week ago, and I felt so good with myself but now it seems not so good, even a lil bit lame. Gotta rush for that sweet 3 digits
@@tristantheoofer2 ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ My osu account is dead and from 300,000 it became 500,000 i did try to revive it but the rank graph is now looking like a thunder bolt with desperate need for pp but fails
@@joshuahernandez1369 I dunno but, I resparked my curiosity and interest to osu! again a few days ago and as I mentioned earlier i was already 500k but I took it as a challenge and now I'm back I'm track om track with a higher rank than before
Haha lol, thanks for liking - I think everyone had this question when they start playing osu! - and everyone comes to this conclusion once they get better
getting off from 7 digits is easy because you beat like one 3 star map and get a C on it and you rise like 200k ranks. When you are a 6 digit you have to no miss a 5 star to rise like 1k lol
When you start osu and they give you no instructions watsoever so you spend a couple hours doing stuff and you still dont know wtf you are supposed to be doing
My mom only let me play games when I was like 12 years old and it was only because I was top 1 on my class and it didn't affected my notes (if it did she wouldn't have let me playing till today)
I know why you clicked the reverse arrows instead of the starter circles! They flash a bit and stand out more on default skin when you're a newbie. Had the same problem. :(
Cnycxl my brother is 8 digit and I’m still in the millions. Fun fact: We start playing the SAME month and yet, he can already play 4 to 5 star beatmaps while I still can BARELY play through 3 star beatmaps consistently without failing. Nandedaio (why)? We both started playing the same month and he’s already climbing while I’m still nowhere able to play through all of them yet. Man, I really do suck
I think 6 digits are too wide a spectrum to be on one “skill level” cuz there are just so many players now 6 digit players can actually be pretty good.
Thinking of it in game level terms it's like ignoring that there are people from silver to diamond and lumping them in the same category. None of them are that great but it's a really large spectrum.
@@ragnarvolt Yeah, something I just started to realize is rank doesn't determine level. I've met a guy who was 400k and could do mid/upper 5*'s, he just didn't play for high pp runs but just to slowly beat the maps as they got harder. I'm personally 350k and I can do low 5* (with difficulty on heavy stream charts).
When I first started Osu! First I was using mouse, and then stop using it when it tires my hand out, (because spinner) I decided to get the tablet, that was a mistake,(the mistake wasn’t buying the tablet, it was hunion) before, I didn’t know you can tap with the keyboard, and I was just playing with just a tablet
@WojouX that's me right now XD I'm like "BRAIN STOP OBSESSING OVER PP AND RANK WE WERE ENJOYING THE GAME UNTIL A FEW WEEKS AGO" but yeah its better to chill and have fun because out of nowhere you'll just realize you actually got better
I play on mobile (osu!droid) and whenever I see streams I try to go by the beat but most of the time I just spam to hit them and it works alot unless its filled with tons of sliders lol
When I first started Osu! I only played when I knew my parents weren't going to see me because they don't really like anime and since they make fun of me for basically everything I do it was just easier to wait until the night to do anything that I liked
@@Cadspen It's really not like that is just that I've been more successful than my older brother and people tend to put more attention of the things that lack the most, so for me any little bad decision is a big deal but the rest things that I do and are good are often ignored, and in reverse with my older brother; When he makes a mistake no one cares because he makes one every 10 seconds and when he finally does something good everoyne is clapping But at the end of the day people like me rather than my brother, so I really don't care at people laughing at me, I just try to avoid it (btw I love my brother he is not that bad it was just an example)
@@eto5034 I see you're going through your teenage years getting slowly into adulthood. Don't hide what you feel and talk outright to your parents about your issues. Don't repeat my mistakes please. It doesn't matter what other people think of you. Someone wouldn't like you because you do what you love? Why do you even bother? Just befriend people who love same things as you do. Well, you can't change your parents, but if they love you, they will accept and even support you with what you love. That's what love is - supporting those we love without any hesitation. That's very important - just be yourself. You're going to regret your life choices if they're against who you are.
I remember me skipping the Osu tutorial cause it was ”too easy” (too low diff) and I didn’t understand that you had to hold down your key during a slider until a year after when I wanted to give it another try. I could’ve been 4 digit by now if I played the tutorial from the whole beginning F
@@ffuyu Lmao its cool, even vaxei and cookiezi got D in the tutorial, if someone got more than a D on their first attempt they're literally ascended gods
I just played a lot of hr at the start because I turned it on once and liked it, but I didn't know what it was. By the time I could play 3* I couldn't read below ar9
I feel like we just follow the rythm and based on that we figure out when to stop a stream. It's kind of like knowing when to click a circle without looking at when the outer circle hits the inner one. Play without sound and you will never know when a stream will stop. As for the equipment, I used to travel a lot between home and the place I was studying, at one place I had a mechanical keyboard and at the other I didn't. So when there were moments where I thought "I can single tap this", my non-mechanical keyboard went "nope". The keys just didn't go up fast enough that when I pressed it down again, it didn't register. Therefore I feel like for new people a mechanical keyboard would go first over a tablet. Also don't play at different places, because when you use different configs and different screens it takes me days to get used to the new window size and stuff. I used a mouse until like 4 star maps, and I was doing perfectly fine with it. And I feel like you can go further with it, I feel like the reason why people get tablets instead of mouse isn't because you will be able to do godlike jumps and streams. It's just lessens the strain on your hands, try moving such a big ass thing across your screen for 7 minutes long and then try doing that with a pen. In the long run tablets are just better, but for noobs. Mouse and tablet have same performance imo. I do have to say that once you go tablet you never go back. Also when I first started osu, the game never tells you what you can do. Yes there is the osu tutorial thing, but that's it. I could never hit like triple circles in 2 star maps until I realized I could use mouse2 and along with that my keyboard. Only then I knew how to click with the keyboard.
Same I farmed myself up from 15k to 7.800 in 2 Days because i really ~had luck~ played farm maps and now (6712 or so) I get recognized in 4-5* lobbies. Rank is not just a number for the others :/
i'm actually #480 000, love this game, and spend soooooooo many days on this, tryi'n to do some shotgun senorita but just dying like the noob that i am. anyway, great job, love your videos, even if i'm french, your certainly one of my favourites youtuber
With the equipment obsession i can totally relate, because when i started playing minecraft and bedwars, i thought that it was the mouse, and with a better mouse i can instant godbridge
I remember when I played with mouse + keyboard, I would singletap with K1 and every single time the objects stack I would alternate, even if it was a super slow singletappable stack (for example I remember playing Hitorigoto on Easy and I alternated on the circle-slider before the chorus even though the interval between the two objects were like the same interval between any other two objects I was singletapping at the time)
"i think i can imagine people without a tablet doing the excact same thing" you are totally right, i always wanted a tablet, because they make streams and jumps look easy, getting the tablet is the hard part, actually having to play with it is the even hard part, because 1. If you dont know how to find your tablet area, you're gonna have a hard time (just search a "mouse sensitivity to tablet area calculator" it worked for me) 2. Actually having the energy to play is harder, because in the first few days, youre going to be SUPER BAD at the game, you will lose some ranks, you will lose most of the time, but its all for the experience, after you get past that, you will see the rewards, pp, ranks, and being able to play better overall, so dont give up, its not fun at first, but after a few days or weeks you will have fun
>when you've played for 4 years and just dipped below 250000 >it only happens once I guess that's true, I've only been a noob once. I've just always been one.
I remember I couldn't read at all, clicking the circles in the wrong order, so I tried HD. It solved all my problems, except now I can't read without it because I don't want to leanr that "unnecessary skill"... Big drawback is that it's a bit harder to hit streams, which I love :'(
Equiptment Obsession : When I was new to the game of "Robeats" I used a garbage keyboard which uses a lot of force to push and eventually got used to it. Then I got a new keyboard which was a logitech and it (no joke) made my skill like 10x better So yeah. Equipment does matter. Now for the mechanical keyboard...
Me: has mechanical keyboard Also me: seeing how good people are with tablets Me again:oh wow cool I’m gonna be the best player in the world!!! * plays with tablet* Me: ...how is this even ...
kashuma mew dw man. That’s me! The tablet is so goddamn hard. I can’t even aim correctly. Yet my brother can completely do it after like 5 minutes of practicing using it. Damn, he’s a left-brained person cuz he learns so fast while I’m here just like “Forget it! I give up on tablet”
@@narutoninjagoandtheflashar4256 its just a matter of personal preference tbh, if ur more comfy with ur mouse there's a good chance that you'll surpass ue bro
14k left handed mouse+kb player. While there's some well-known left-handed tablet users (e.g. karthy chippy and nalian) I don't know about any left handed mouse player besides me. So I guess I'm kinda special? idk also I'm kinda overranked as I usually play low-bpm (180 or below), cant stream anything over 185-ish, cant stamnia over 200 and can only play HR if I know the map by heart... lmao
yo fucking finally another left handed mouse player proof: imgur.com/a/y3A1sZC I was the same at your rank. Don't worry, stamina improvement will come quick if you play a ton of grumd/breakcore maps
@@-aku2805 I started about a month ago, 1 stars were too slow and boring; I couldnt tell what beat the circles were going to be on because the approach circle was so slow, so I went to 2 stars to start, had more fun and got good enough for 3 and 4* in just a couple weeks.
did nobody learn that streams usually are an odd amount of numbers, so that you start with your dominant finger and end it with that same finger, so basically longer triplets
En_tropy it ain't that hard to practice just alternate 5 tap streams, starting with your dominant finger, then you can extend to 7,9,11 and then eventually you can predict how to end 8 second streams, no extra accidental taps anymore
I also had a massive tablet when I first started the game but u didn’t think to change the tablet use space or window sizes so once I did figure out how to change the area I was suddenly able to play a lot harder songs. I felt like a god.
in 6 months i went from a 7 digit to a 367,326 . i thought i was like the fastest improver then i went to rank>nearby and this kid was like 100,000 in 3 months farming sotarks maps like wtf
Woah there’s optical allusion in the vid go to 2:38 pause it then look to the bottom right if your screen the 1 should disappear in the corner of your eye
