Thank you! It means a lot for us younger nonbinary people to see that living as a nonbinary adult can be done.

Not part of the LGBT community but it's cool to hear you talking about your experience. Respect to you.

Exploring and understanding my dysphoria and being nonbinary as an adult is challenging- respect to all the youngins, but it is so great to have other adults sharing their experiences to relate to and options to consider moving towards. Best Nonb channel. Thank you!

Yes, as an even older non-binary person, I totally agree about the importance of being visible. When I first learnt about non-binary genders, and realised that's who I am, I was worried about coming out, because there's such a perception that it's just for teenagers. Your videos were one of the things that showed me that wasn't true. So I'm now trying to be a bit more visible in my own videos now, to help other adults see the diversity among non-binary people.

Great video. Thank you :) You're absolutely right that being visible as a nonbinary adult is important for adults and kids. I honestly can't count the amount of times I questioned if I was a trans guy, but kept ignoring my feelings because I truly thought I had to choose a binary gender. I went through something similar when I was younger before coming out as bi/pan. I knew as a very young kid that I liked girls, but I kept telling myself I couldn't possibly be gay because I also liked boys. Finally when I heard about bi people I was like "OHHHHH." It wasn't until I started seeing nonbinary people online that I made the same connection with my gender. I kept thinking I was just broken because I didn't have language or context for how I felt. I appreciate you so much for sharing your story. :D

Such great video! ❤️ I’ll be 28 this year and I’m not totally open with my non binary gender but that’s also where I’m most comfortable right now, it’s not like I’m hiding it either, I’m just existing as I am. :) Tomorrow I’m having breast reduction surgery btw and I’m so excited!! 😊

Thank-you so much for these videos. I'm a non-binary person and your videos on low-t hormone therapy really cemented my desire for it. My partner finds your videos extremely helpful as he's worried how I'll change throughout the process.

As of finding this video (July 2022), im 37 now. I too found out that im non-binary at 30. Not in my 30’s, but at age 30 back in early 2015, and when I learned what it is, suddenly my entire life as far back as my toddler years finally made sense!! Im so totally happy and proud to be non-binary. And just today, i came to my dad in request for top surgery after a lot of hard thinking and making a pros & cons list. He’s going to look into it since he has never heard of top surgery and im going to help him learn everything there needs to know. I even recommended a few of your videos for him to watch, along with other RU-vidrs that has had top surgery done. Being a non-binary adult is most definitely a different vibe, especially when older people & bigoted people would assume im still in high school or in my early 20’s. 😑

I think it's really helpful to see older people who are nonbinary it helped a lot when I first figured out I was nonbinary in my early teens because I couldn't imagine how adults could be nonbinary because I'd never seem that representation before but seeing it really helps me think about my future and what it could look like

You are my new favorite person. You made me feel so good today. I came out to friends as NB when I was 30. I get imposter syndrome so bad cuz I’m so much older. Your videos help me so much

As a mother of a non-binary adult child, I had a situation recently that I had difficulty replying to a male friend, when I was talking about my non-binary child, finished the conversation.by saying "how silly you have to be either male or female" and I didn't know how to reply.

Maybe something like, "That may be your understanding up till now, but I trust [name] to know themself and I ask you to respect that as well".

Sadly, much of the harshest and most ignorant views of Non-Binary people is from the Trans community. Just because someone doesn’t understand something or experience something doesn’t mean it’s not reality. ❤️

I am 34 and have been questioning my gender for about 5 years. At first I thought I was male. So I started living my life as a male. After a year I felt it wasn’t fitting me. I didn’t feel male inside but I still didn’t feel female. So I got super confused and overwhelmed. I stopped living as a male and went back to what I thought I was supposed to be and what the world “wanted” me to be. I suppressed everything. I knew being non binary was valid but I don’t think I accepted that of myself, so I pushed it down. Now I am finally ready to be myself. But I am still scared of how the world will treat me.

It may be hard (though it may not!) but either way, will almost definitely be worth it.

This is probably rambly but I need to vent I'm afab nonbinary/genderfluid and I want to present more androgynous or masc, especially with makeup. But I'm afraid that upon presenting masculine in public I'll trap myself into only ever looking like a guy. First off, there's the what if realization that you get treated better and feel safer when you look masc. With my anxiety, I could easily fall into always looking masc for the sake of comfort. In the workplace or school, say I decide to look like a guy some days and look like a girl other days. I could be making myself a target of harassment for not fitting into the binary. How do you overcome these anxieties? I want to explore all sides of my gender expression and not give in to pressure to just be one. I don't want to be closeted to the world but it's also really scary.

I would say just try experimenting! You don't have to present as masc full time right away or anything. Maybe stick with one presentation at school or work, but a different one in some other context (or just play with it on your own to see how it feels). Then continue to follow what feels right. Don't let fears of what *might* happen determine what options you give yourself before you even try ❤️
