The Plaintiff was sweating bullets of guilt when Judge Milian started grilling him about the alleged electronics. Clearly lying and thought he was going to get a big pay day with no proof.

This couple reminds me of my mom and dad. Dad is 6ft 7inches mom was 5ft 2inches. Both my brother and I are over 6ft tall and gave my mom hell during the delivery. Sorry mom ❤

she went in to have a shower in the morning and turned on both hot water and cold. When the hot water stopped flowing and it turned cold as she said, she likely just turned off the the cold water and forgot about the hot water because it wasn't flowing. I'm not sure what kind of diverter she has, but often the tub spigot has a little lever that you lift to make the water come out of the shower. When the water is off, the lever drops. When the water is turned on the water will come out of the spigot. That all said, it's amazing how any time there is a leak or something spills, all the computer equipment and video games are somehow in the direct path.

That’s why u need renter’s insurance, the plaintiff is trying to make money he doesn’t deserve.

Plaintiff definitely was trying to make a bonanza out of this situation, not letting the guy see the damages... bringing no evidence to court... he barely deserved what he ended up with

I'm surprised the plaintiff didn't claim his car was parked inside his apartment and water damaged the entire interior and electrical system ... and then asked for a new car as well.

I know what happened. The girlfriend turned on the hot and cold water. The hot water stopped so it felt cold. She turned off the cold and since the hot wasn't running, she didn't bother to turn the hot faucet off. Then when the plumbers turned the hot water back on, it filled up the tub while they were out. Same thing happened in our building, although there was no damage, just an angry landlord with a large water bill for the month.

We all know she left the water on but forgot cause the water stopped running. When we lost water we turn the faucet on and know its back when it starts running 😂

I was waiting to see a 50-inch flatscreen on the bed...along with an XBox...and 2 mountain bikes. At least he didn't use the Ol' that was my Grandma's laptop and she gave it to me before she passed away. It's priceless!!

It's gonna cost more than $750 to fix a water damage.. But $750 is still better than nothing.

Bathtubs used to have emergency drains. Idk why they stopped putting them in the tubs.

They clearly left the taps open full blast and most shower tub combos the water will automatically divert after a shower back to the lower spigot. It’s literally how any shower tub system had worked for the last 50 years in the US.

Before I even heard about the (probably plastic laminate) "wood" floor, I determined that the plaintiff is a grifter...... because he said the magic word: "Laptop". It's always a laptop because that's the most expensive electronic people can think of when they want to lie about damages. Then he took it a step further (and the judge called him out on it!): Laptop, playstations, game cartridges, all piled in exactly the right spot. Yeah, he should have been "taxed" $750 for trying to scam the defendant.

A grown man who doesn't have $125 to check his laptop? No wonder he's suing for $5000. Water will not damage a DVD I've used toothpaste to polish out a scratch and than washed it with water and it worked just fine.

Water won't ruin a DVD or CD... Just maybe the paper cover. Got greedy and got caught. Guy should've had renters insurance.

This is a common mistake people make, turn on the tap, find there's no running water and forget to turn the tap back off, a big mistake if your'e not at home when the water supply is back

If they just got the work finished and he went upstairs and saw a flood in his bedroom then the water had to be going for a while. But in his testimony he made ot seem like once the wrk was done he went home and boom damage. What about the ceilings wouldnt they be damaged too. Edit: finished episode. He definitely was inflating damage

He's showing water damage in one spot on the bed, one spot on the flooring, water damage in the ceiling in the kitchen. None of these places where you would think these electronics are. If the laptop and all these things were under the spots where there was water damage why isn't there more flooring and pieces of furniture showing the water?

People take pictures of everything nowadays. He didn't think to take pictures of the damaged electronics? Besides, the leak was right over the bed. How did everything in the room get miraculously wet?

All plumbing in apartments are straight up and down on top of each other (stacked) couldn’t have gotten into every floor

Either way the defendants caused the flood. When they went to take a shower and found out there wasn't any water. They didn't turn the faucet back to the off position and when the water came back on flooded the place. 🧐

I would’ve won a bet if I bet anyone lmao when I saw the defendant first came in I was like “hes got to be at least 6’7” turns out he’s 6’6 , I was closeeeeeee🤣 And the plaintiff was definitely trying to hack up the prices . That bedding he showed looked like he threw water on it let’s see the mattress not the bedding . But I live in a old building and on the 2nd floor (highest floor) , I’ve had water damage from rain storms leaks through ceilings but I always document it to a T !

Judge showing bias again! Can you tell me how a person is going to have a ceiling fixed, flooring replaced, and purchase a new mattress with $750? Milian runs off the bench without looking at the plaintiffs because she knows that most of her verdicts are based on who she likes, if they are cute, and a number of other things. I would never go to her with a case.

I can say from my own personal experience water damage to hard wood flooring is very expensive! My homeowners paid out $6,000 so I could replace my floors in kitchen & hallway. Plantiff may be reaching some but no way $750 will cover his floors & a new mattress. He will be lucky to buy new mattress for that amount! The defendant acted like he had stick up his rear!
