My name is Naomi, and I am a pre-service teacher working on my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Grades Education at Louisiana State University. Today I am talking all about what it's like for me to be an Elementary Education major and a little bit about my experience this past semester working in several different schools. CORRECTION: At one point in the video I said that the Early Childhood Education program at LSU was certified to teach Pre-K through 1st grade but it is ACTUALLY Pre-K through 3rd grade! Sorry to all the Early Education teachers out there! Told y'all I was probably wrong 😳🙈

I'm incoming freshman under Elementary Education from the Philippines.I hope I can make it through. I wish to teach abroad for educators here only receive very little and most of them are buried under loans :< Anyway, you are so cute ate!

Do it! I am a paraprofessional in a Self Contained SPED classroom. We have several male staff members and it is so awesome to have the view point from them, the mentorship for the students, and I firmly believe that lots of children are missing the influence of an encouraging male in their life. In our school the males are some of the favorite staff members. The kids just think they are so cool.

Hey thank you for sharing 👌🏻 I'm about to start college this coming fall I'm going for Associates of Arts elementary education. I like to become a high school teacher but not sure how tonget there . At least I'm starting somewere I guess. I’m a sophomore in college currently, majoring in el Ed with endorsements in la, reading and prek. So excited to graduate. My degree is certified for K-8 though

I just finished my preservice teaching in 5th grade and I start student teaching Jan 6th in 6th grade. I wish the best as you get ready for it! I subscribed. Hopefully we can support each other as we go through student teaching. I also make youtube videos.

Anyone else hearing the “full year of student teaching” and thinking that’s nuts?? I mean I’m all about more experience but i don’t wanna work for free for a full year!!

Yes!! There's definitely pros and cons to both options. I liked having just a half-year student teaching experience, but I know some people really wished they would've gotten more time.
