Me too. I’ve loved history for as long as i can remember and I think i would like to pursue a career teaching history. As I go into sophomore year and start looking into dual enrollment programs, I’ve been watching these videos to see if it’s for me. I know i’m young but i’m super convinced this is what i want to do when i’m older!

This is awesome! I went to BSU for the education open house a few weeks ago and I loved it! I just have one question, is the block just for elementary ed majors or do secondary ed majors do it too? Thanks and I love you videos!

The block is for Elementary Ed and Early Childhood Ed only. Secondary Ed does not have a block. Thank you so much!💛

I'm also going into childhood education and idk if you know anything about the iPad Pro but would you recommend that over the MacBook Pro ??

I’m a laptop gal so I personally recommend the MacBook Pro over the iPad! If you go to BSU, an iPad was “required” for the Elementary Ed block but I got by without one. It all depends on your professors!

You are very sweet ... and organized ..when you get there ...develop your own style , best not to emulate professors who don't need to motivate like you will to students..I loved it on Shea/durg..Best sunsets .. I studied best in study rooms ..rather than my room..Best to you

Hi Hailey! I am a sophomore at BSU going for elementary Ed!! I was just wondering if you are working while in the block? My biggest concern is not being able to work while I’m in the block because I know it’s from 8-4 Monday through Friday, but I want to be able to make money while going to school!!

I personally only work 4 hours a week on campus this semester. I have friends in my block who work 20 hours a week. I recommend avoiding that many hours if you can, but they are doing amazing and I totally understand that some people absolutely have to work. It will be REALLY hard but it is possible. If you just want some spending money, I would recommend a work study job or weekend position!

As an elementary teacher you can teach all subjects, but it can depend on the school you’re working at, as some schools departmentalize ☺️

The block is the semester before student teaching at BSU, where you stay with the same group of people for your classes and gain experience in the classroom. I have a video all about it if you're interested in more details! 😊

@@HaileyTeaches Some of my best friends are the people I met in my Elementary Ed program. We get together and vent about teaching cause non-teacher friends don't get it. :) Good luck on the coming job hunt!
