It's not quite the same without Russel Tovey screeching and waving his arms around. It's not that bad though. The idea of the blood prostitue is new, glad to see the show have its own ideas.
I've loved the original since the pilot and wrote to the BBC begging for it to be made, this is my first look at the US version and my first response is that everything is way too expansive, the sets are just too massive for it to feel homely and to feel like the characters are trapped in their situation. The wolf change is way too soft and not nearly dramatic enough, he should be in pain when his claws come through. I don't like how slooooow it all seems & Annie looks gormless at the window.
Dear Being Human (US), I know I am but a lowly BH/ ex-BH fan, yet stil have one request. Please don't turn turn Aiden's two best friends against him, kill him off, and attempt to replace him with a werewolf, blonde she-witch. I can't watch that sh*t twice. Please. Thank you.
@CuriosityRocks Bang on summation. Too slick, terrible sound design (crescendos over everything as most US tv does), slow-mo is painfully pretentious, terrible cast names even (but i like the nod to Aiden) etc etc I was in LA during the world cup and they had none-stop sound effects and music over the commentators? Ridiculous.
@thepims no they sodl the idea to the Us, they are aloud to do this, they make money out of it and, the UK buys ideas from teh US all the time, it works both ways
Respond to this video... That girl didn't even flinch tho. Where were the previous scars if she had done it before, and if not why did it seem so easy/unpainful? Unplausible on many levels
so ive watched both versions and dont necessarily have a favourite, but the actor they chose for Bishop (the head vampire) was soo badly done he wasnt scary enough imo
oh, it already started? Didnt knew that. Well.... i wanted to give it a chance... but... i dont know. it lacks the charme of the UK-Version, from what I see here. I don't even like the actors of the three. Not even Mark is compelling. and the wolf turns his SISTER? What an awful change in the plot. and if he's instead killing her its even more awful.
@Bakalein European yet uses the word 'sucks'? *sigh* You are US indoctrinated mate and have invalidated your discussion. The US didn't take Doctor Who because they weren't privvy to the knowledge and national admiration of it being so intrinsic to British culture for the past six decades. Most just wouldn't 'get it'.
