Right before I did 5 yrs, which was my first time inside the best advice I ever got from a good friend, who did a bid himself was "Don't gamble, don't do drugs & don't mess w/ gumps & that will eliminate 99% of any potential problems you'll ever have in there! Oh was he ever so right!
I was in the game for 12 years as a guard/Sergeant and it’s not the things I saw that haunts me, it’s the stuff I know I couldn’t see that does. Regardless of what someone is in for, no one deserves to get raped, assaulted or forced to pay rent. On the other hand inmates think being labeled a “ snitch” is the worst thing, I imagine being a fuck puppet is worse.

I did 8 years in Louisiana State Pen. For Women...I had learned from my times in jail, before going to prison...never ever ever be mistaken, aint no one in there, your friend...do not ever mistake it!!! Stay to yourself and absolutely, do not borrow not even a honeybun!!!
I mean at least in female prison none of Ya'll really have a strength difference. Speaking from experience most women are relative biologically, but with men height per (inch) = Weight×2. So if you are female and there's a female 6 inches taller, they'll be 12 lbs heavier, if a man is 6 inches taller than another man he'd be 24 lbs heavier than him, or 48 lbs heavier than a female of the same size. Then you got strength, and stuff like that, it's more dimorphism between dudes than in girls when it comes to size and strength, so while a man will be strong enough to beat on 2-3 dudes, most girl fights would be even.
And then you got to take into account sexual assault in male prison is 20x more likely than out on the street, (for men). And prison for women when it comes to sxual assault is literally safer than the outside world.
It's sad that most of us joke about prison rape....I'm ashamed I killed about it growing up....its real and really sad. Let someone break you down psychologically and have you kissing and licking their feet and let's see you struggle with wanting to die during such abuse....its downright EVIL to do that to a man.

Moral of the story, keep yourself out of situations you know you can’t handle, ie; borrowing money or getting in debt, or partaking in drug use especially n prison. There will always be that guy who can’t wait for you to get hemmed up in debt so they can use it to their own advantage. There are so many tricks up these guys sleeves you have no idea!
As far as Bobby being a squatter: he's a "dirty kid" and a "train hopper" and a "traveler." A dirty kid is a particular type of homeless person who often travels , and train hoppers are generally the most hardcore subset of travelers (in the US)

NOBODY deserves to be raped, turned out, or anything else in prison. Prison isn't for vengeance, or excessive punishment it's for a temporary punishment, and to have a criminal serve their debt to society. Vengeance and excessive punishment accomplish nothing. Nothing.

@@daniellion5291 it is that simple to not go to prison. Don't break the law or associate with those who do. If you live in the hood or any other economically depressed area, move. Work two, three, four jobs if you have to. If you're physically fit and no record, enlisting in the military is one way out. Avoid the clubs, bars. If you must drink, go to the liquor store and buy your drink of choice and drink it at home. Working hard, not breaking the law, not associating with those who do, staying away from clubs, bars etc, leaving the hood will keep you out of prison

Stay away from weed despite what state law says and those who use it, stay away from clubs, don't live in bad neighborhoods and stay away from them. If you live in one, move. Can't afford to move? Get a second, third or however many jobs needed to get the money to move. Go to school or the military to get out of economically depressed areas and/or get job skills. Its quite easy to not go to prison and the vast majority of people manage it every day.
This is another reason why you need to stick your head in book, go to school and get a career. When you become an adult, once you hit a certain age, with your own home, car, etc., being cool and a badass doesn't matter anymore. None of that doesn't matter anymore. So be smart and stick to your studies, if you're having trouble in school ask for help. Look for help.

I spent time in high security jails in the UK. I've been in mid security and low security (Category A,B,C, and D). I never seen anything happen like this UK jails.

I rather know what goes on so I can have the knowledge so it can help me stay as far away as possible from prison.
