I have had this model of freezer in our garage for the past 5 years with zero issues. I bought this particular model due to it being frost free and designed to work in outbuildings plus it has a fast freeze option and digital temperature control, both of which I wanted. If I was buying a freezer today for my garage, I would still purchase this model due to the above features. It's surprising how many freezers still aren't designed to work in a colder environment and don't have the features of this model. Thanks for the great review as always and hoping you might do something on cooker hoods, especially the type that use sensors to auto select the fan speed.
I've been looking to buy an upright freezer like this for months now. Only if this was normal height at around 180cm and in black! Most black freezers are around £1000, but silver or white equivalent is £400- £600. Like why
I sometimes set my freezer to a lower than -18 if I know I will be adding things that could increase the temperature of the freezer. I have sometimes used it to make ice packs colder so they last longer when I take an insulated bag of food that I want to keep cool. It can make freezer burn happen more quickly and does nothing to perserve the food in the freezer, so there is not much point in using it.
