Hurricane force winds are no laughing matter. If you are unable to walk, its best to stay inside until the wind is gradually reduced in strength. It's better to listen to the urgent weather advisory as reported by your local weatherman and to stay tune for any updates as they become available. Too many lives are lost this way. Also to keep away from any windows and if necessary use a wooden panel to provide as a insulation or a barrier to prevent the wind from blowing against the glass and shattering it. Best to do it both sides, outside and inside and use tapes to securely keep the panels in place. I hope it works. Using a weatherproof tape is good for the outside and inside to prevent moisture from leaking inward. Measure the entire perimeter of the window so the panel can fit securely without having a difficult fitting.

I was playing chess on vacation in this! My opponent at the time said this as his king got sucked off from the board “Look, it’s the flying king move.” We finished the game later in the hotel. This wind was insane !!!
