It takes real guts to emulate one of the greats like Connie Francis! Belinda's performance was pretty good to be honest. Of course Belinda's voice is very unique and it's hard not to hear Belinda Carlisle. Connie's voice was flawlessly perfect and she always had such charismatic movement's. I never saw this episode wonder if she won? Always was a big belinda Carlisle fan but do agree she sounded more belinda than connie but love her forever. The image reminds me a little of on a later song little black book and she looked great (as normal! But m biased lol).

I am sorry to be clearly in the minority here, but I stand behind "Brez 9091" and "RocknRoll Phillip". I am a REAL Connie fan, and even though Belinda is beautiful and has a strong voice......this is painfully bad and awkward. Please hand the microphone to Gloria Estefan, to see and hear what a better singer might deliver.
Just listened to Connie Francis version, I agree her voice is clearer and less distinctive than Belinda's, which is precisely why I prefer Belinda's version as she puts more character and emotion into the song i.m.o.
