Bell UH-1Huey Start up & Departure 

That sound is sooooo soothing. Love the smell of the exhaust.

My uncle was in Force Recon in 69. Was pulled out on strings after being wounded - he always told me - most of the bird pilots had stones of steel - hovering above the canopy taking all kinds of ground fire to get the guys out. The bird that pulled him out - had, according to him - over 30 bullet holes - luckily none found a fatal mark - either the crew or the mechanicals.

Man I love that sound. Spent more than a few hours as a pax in those.

That beautiful "wokka-wokka-wokka" sound is absolute porn for the ears..........

And the angels are rejoicing from the sound of the model H

My last flight was on a " H " model.............all I can say is.............. HOOAAAH...!!!!
