It’s probably because Bella ciao is the anthem of the Italian resistance movement against fascism and the German occupation during ww2. It’s an incredibly important song to the Italians.
I used to live in italy and still remember some of the language, they are kind people in the northern areas and southern, the middle is also nice but just city packed. In rome if you dont finish your food they get sad, and if you dont eat everything there. And its all pretty cheap compared to america, and i was able to eat eggs there and breath (cant do either in america)
