honestly i feel dumb and naive for believing bad things about bella and the things that where entirely false or just spread by the press, after listening to this podcast i honestly think bella is a well spoken humble kind and caring individual who is a normal person that knows her worth. before this i only thought half those things and that’s embarrassing because i let the media and other peoples perceptions of her where more reliable and correct then listening to her speak as a human, overall amazing amazing podcast

My exact thoughts. It's crazy how the media can influence our impressions/opinions of people we literally do not know AT FREAKING ALL. But at least I can say as a 20 yr old I grew up watching her and you kind of just take whatever people say about these child stars at face value until you're older. But like dude these are literally PEOPLE!!! People that are deep and complex and freakin human. It's crazy like how celebrity's are portrayed it causes a lotttt of us to forget that or just not even consider that their lives and feelings have the same amount of nuance that ours have

I'm so glad you brought up DBT because it is incredibly important for ANYONE interested in learning it (not just those diagnosed with personality disorders). I was raised by someone with BPD, which caused me to have a really low emotional IQ and bad coping mechanisms (the trauma of that relationship caused GED but not an actual personality disorder). I met with a DBT group for 9 weeks when I was 21 and it dramatically changed my life. I honestly think anyone could find value in it and 100% had the same thought of 'why didn't I learn this in school'?

However she can’t say Disney didn’t control her when she almost lost her contract due to wearing a bikini, and then second guessed what she was “allowed” to do after leaving Disney and coming into her womanhood. I can only imagine how suffocating and confusing and distorting that would’ve been. That on top of all the other shit each human has to navigate when exploring their identity

This was such a small part of the video, but when Bella talks about the thought that lead her to reconnect with her mom... I felt that. When you lose someone in your life suddenly, especially someone young, it changes everything. Now I spend every moment with my loved ones wondering if this is the last time I'm gonna see them. It's a blessing and a curse. It's a very morbid way to think, but it also forces you to cherish every moment and not sweat the small stuff.

Damn in most cases I try to see many situations from different sides, but I never realized how I didn't know ANYTHING about Bella Thorne. The media really twists everything. And if there are mistakes that she made, yes everyone makes them. She probably fixed them or learned from them. I am happy to see where she is now! You go girl :)
