Despite being under the dark ones curse he's literally the only dark one who's had the most light compared to all theses others . Even in the future seasons it's surprising how he can control all that darkness and be still unlike the other dark ones before him
I understand where Belle is at it's not bad to try to protect your heart and there's no doubt in my mind that Rumple loves Belle but he needs to earn her if he wants her.
And you've also broken Rumples heart, Belle. You aren't innocent either. You can't accept Rumple for who he is and thinks he needs to change to be with you, yet you fell for him when he was a scaly dark one in the Enchanted Forest.
Here's a piece of advice: go do some research on codependency. Belle has been a codependent for years and is finally realizing (a) that her need to fix Rumple is gone, with the act being performed by someone else, and therefore she's not sure how to deal with what he's done to her in the past [i.e. she doesn't have closure], and (b) that their relationship has been toxic for far too long. True, she perhaps chose a bad time to make her stand, but at the same time, what other time is any better? If he went back to being dark, he would have been much more dangerous (which is why her holding her ground in Season 6 so far is so significant). If he is truly seeking to be a hero, then he'll live through this and grow and learn from it. Belle has by far the cleanest slate of almost everyone in Storybrooke, and she needs her space to heal and recover from the decades of emotional abuse and betrayal she has suffered from the man she tried to love.
+GisellaRegal I don't think being with Rumple has to mean Belle must be dependent on him. I mean, if Rumple doesn't like Belle being independent, she can always leave him later on. This seemed like an out of nowhere decision by Belle. With Emma, while I don't care for Captain Swan, I don't think her wanting to save Hook has to do with being dependent on him. If anything, he is more dependent on her. I think it has to do with that she sees him as her true love and she has the Dark One powers and can actually save him through dark magic. Emma has shown to be a very independent person conquering her fears and demons. And honestly, Hook isn't the only one who has helped her. She's had Snow, Charming, Regina, Elsa, Henry. She basically has a true family now, so she certainly doesn't need Hook to realize her worth.
+drlee2 She had really depended on him to become the hero she wanted him to be and I just respect she now wants to be on her own or her own hero you could say but yes it was very out of the blue and it must be heart breaking for the rumbelle fans but we all know they are endgame, lets be real I just really respect her decision for now and I hope she gets some awesome scenes with just her and not Rumpel by her side. Yes I know but its not like the old Emma and its all about her saving hook, it was a heat of the moment thing I frickin love Emma but I never wanted her character to be revolved around a man and he was down right disrespectful to her and there's no excuse for that. Yes she has them! That was rude of me to kind of say she doesn't realise her self worth because of course she does but it seems without hook she's a broken person and I don't want that for her. I agree she definitely doesn't need Hook to realize her worth!
This is so real though. When they finally do change, and they’ve put you through a roller coaster already, you have to take time to trust them. Because even if the evil part of them leaves, the fear of them doesn’t. And that takes time
Are you FREAKING kidding me? Belle is really starting to piss me off. She should've never showed up at the well, giving him false hope just to tear him down. Surely, they are not ending this relationship. There can only be 2 explanations for this. Either Hook has her heart or A&E had to write this in because of Emilie's pregnancy, and if that's the case...then she will be absent for all of 5B. Which would mean that we'll be in the dark on Rumbelle's status until Season 6. I'm so over all of this unnecessary back and forth drama. Enough is enough.
Are you kidding me?! What happened to "I will never stop fighting for him," Belle?! I get it, he's loused up a lot! But he's also gone out of his way to do the right thing on occasion, and even *died* to save everyone! And *still*, he loses everyone he cares about, no matter what he tries to be! Darn-stupid- *Incoherent snarling* *Deep breath, deep breath* I know it's not necessarily the end of his and Belle's relationship. But it seems like some very unnecessary drama.
+Coral Roper agreed. they are my otp and i love them both, but belle is really irritating me. but i agree with rumple. not wanting him to die is not the same as wanting to be with him. rumple should have known this would happen. it majorly sucks but still. so frustrating

iRazenrak Yeah, but she does love him. And even if she didn't want to be with him, she shouldn't have met him at the place where he asked her to meet if she did want to. That was kind of unnecessarily cruel; if she hadn't shown up, he would have understood.
The one thing that pisses me off about her behavior here is that she CAME TO THE WELL fully knowing what it'd mean only to deliver that almost bored "I don't know if I still wanna make it work, lol" line. I am with her that he put her thru hell. But you know what the right thing would've been? Esp. now that he has changed? NOT SHOWING UP AT THE WELL LIKE SOMEONE TRYING TO GET EVEN WITH THEIR EX, FFS!
What a hearbreaking scene... and quite disappointing as well... they could live the life they always wanted to without the darkness, maybe Rumple could overcome his addiction. But no, he wasn't rewarded for and encouraged in his efforts to be good and pure hearted. At least Belle could give him some hope. Aaarghhh... Although I understand and absolutely can relate to Belle in this scene, too. I had a boyfriend once from a similarly unloving family and he was just like Rumple, he couldn't believe someone can love him, so the always "pulled away", breaking my heart so many times. (And he was also aggressive with me sometimes.) And I, just like Belle, saw the goodness in him and wanted to save him, to heal his heart. It was too much, for me, too. It took too much from me. After a time I also had to see my interests and protect my own heart. I wasn't Belle. I could not be so heroic but I also didn't want to after a time.
Belle taught rumple well!! if you can't beat your opponet, KNOCK THEM OUT!!! it's what she always does :) also, really rumple!!! i know it's a great revenge to keep him alive and suffer as the dark one, but COME ON!!! Hook NEEDS to die already. save the future trouble!!!!! come on people. get your head in the game
Oh and like Belle hasn't broken Rumple's heart a couple dozen times. When are they going to discuss her infidelity. How is Belle any different from Mila? Rumple was under the Dark One's curse. She refuses to acknowledge that yet she abandoned her husband to join a cross realm search party to help Emma get rid of the darkness. I hate Belle. Maybe she would have been better off with Gaston.
Albus Nix It doesn't matter how many times she was unfaithful. The fact of the matter is that she did it and she was completely out of line and to this day we still don't have an explanation for it. I've never seen Rumple blame any of his love ones for anything. What show are you watching?

Not only does her words feel wooden but also her movements. Like when shevcocked her head and she bunched her brows, it was just off. This is nothing like when Regina was controlling her heart. This feels all fake.
