This program has really helped me with my bladder control too. I've been able to use less thick pads and I'm almost able to stop using adult diapers at night!! This will save me a lot of money buying products as well as the embarrassment of having to buy these products in the store. Teaching at least one of the movements so I could feel confident confident 1. I can 'do the thing's, 2. I could feel how it could potentially effect my body in the manner intended - I would go through the effort, time, money, invest my limited internal resources into the program. I've been burned too many times for leaps of faith. NOT a criticism or ANY shade toward you personally, at all. I felt compelled to share my simple feedback regarding the ONLY reasons stopping me from jumping on board. (just my 2 cents) Super great idea. Hi Jennifer, I am really interested in trying this program but I have some knee issues (hypermobile knees and patellar tracking disorder) and wanted to check first, whether this is heavy on knee movement. I can tape my knees before dancing, of course, but I try to limit how much time I spend with tape on my legs because it gets very hot and sweaty.
Hi Jana, thank you for your question! It's hard for me to answer because I don't have enough information or know your unique body, but generally speaking I would say that belly dancing is not hard on the knees because it's a non-impact activity. Some movements may put more stress on your knees than others. I would recommend keeping your weight in your heels rather than in the soles of your feet and engage your glutes, hamstrings and quads.
