@@aaronbritt2025 That’s a good one. My co worker had a turbo awd laser in the early 00’s. It was such a fun car with a few bolt ons, slightly larger turbo and dsm link tuning. After a few years though the constant maintenance even for a mechanic owner just became too much. I give heavily modified DSM owners credit, it takes a lot of resilience and deep pockets. I’ve seen DSM’s break more owners souls then any other car.

Most Dealerships don’t let you flip reservations or orders anymore. They are simply cancelled to eliminate order flippers. Did you miss the part Craig said all his personal info and address had to match and line up and you couldn’t be a dealer. I’m pretty sure he put his youngest kid and Viper down as collateral too :)

I'm number one at one dealer and #7 at a second dealer (not ordered, but in line to order) who told me that they will get an email with an official order start day, which has not happened yet. Also on the build site, no prices. I have no idea what they were in line for other than to be on a list for the order of the actual ordering. I noticed he didn't reply to you here, hmmm.

For one...EV is not so popular right now. The government is mandating this move. The hybrid is the entrance towards EV. In less than 4 years an all electric Corvette will be out. In a few years after that, only an electric one can be bought new. Right now the electric have the pollution coming out the the process that makes the electricity rather than out of the tail pipe of the car. Both create pollution...and the electric cars are no longer cheaper to operate. Oh, and don't go out of town...you can't take a can of electricity with you.

The economy isn’t great, but people with good jobs and the like aren’t as impacted by inflation/higher rates as lower income folks. Even furniture industry, the cheaper brands are not doing good. But high end luxury ones are doing just fine.

Wealthy people with no debt and access to cash are doing just fine.

A population of well over 300 million, even if half the country is below the poverty line that still leaves a giant population with the ability to buy expensive cars, even if only 10% of those above the poverty line are wealthy enough to buy a new vehicle.

@@N0neofyourbusiness. I understand the desire to have a brand new car, especially a Corvette. I bought 2 new: an 87 and a 94, and later in 2016 another 94. I’m not too confident that a person after 2 years of purchase will be able to break even or profit. I’ve heard that people who bought cars jacked up in price were in difficulty trading them as they owed more than the cars were worth. This may happen to recent Corvette purchases if Chevrolet makes significant improvements or changes such as total electrification. Anyway, I don’t see a car purchase as an investment personally.

Why hate on a car company for making a kick ass product that people are lined up around the block to buy? That’s called a success! They can’t physically make enough for everyone so they must try to find the fairest solution. But it’s a business so $$$ usually comes first. Why hate on the people inline buying something that makes them happy and brings them and there families joy? They probably worked harder then you in life and achieved there Corvette life goals. So you sit back and complain on a Corvette buying video. What did you expect to see? What’s wrong with selling something you bought, specially if you’re offered more money for it? I’ve been a cars sales professional since 2005 and can tell you flipping or reselling new cars isn’t as common as you would like to think or as easy as it seems on RU-vid. It’s actually damn near impossible to make money on a car. I buy cars at wholesale prices and it’s still tough to make money. Try buying a new car these days, paying taxes, license fees and insurance and try to resell it and see what happens. 1% of new cars can be flipped for a profit if that. Most are limited production models us regular people can’t afford or get anyways. Lighten up bro. It’s a sports car. They’re built for pure enjoyment and nothing else :) We don’t need your negative BS here man.
