Oh they know and understand ...they choose to ignore and do nothing. Which makes it worse. Ignorance or stupidity I can almost forgive. Deliberately ignoring it and doing nothing I can not.
@Josh Doe Watch it. Don't disparage people just for their skin color. There are vast differences within all races, and all races have produced their brilliant and their not so intelligent.
I'm not going to let you get away with that ignorance. The easiest and most efficient way to begin the discussion of systemic racism, begins with a history lesson. After the Civil War, black Americans had obtained the right not be owned as slaves. Many of them were still treated terribly and faced significant segregation and oppression, not just by average people, but from other entities such as the police. And keep in mind that for 80 years, black Americans still had a vote that was only 3/5th that of a white American. Continuing along the timeline, we skip to the Civil Rights Movement. During that time, racial prejudice had reached an all time high. These people were still treated terribly and held little to no generation wealth. This is extremely important when considering the fact that white Americans had the ability to obtain generational wealth without being systemically oppressed. And keep in mind that 30 years before the Civil Rights Act was passed, redlining became an effective way to herd black Americans into cities that were underfunded, over policed, and uncared for. This has remained a constant problem from black Americans, and was only exacerbated during the Reagan presidency when he announced the "War on Drugs." And believe it or not, the median income of Black families declined by 5.2% and the number of poor black Americans, increased by 2.2%. Continuing, he signed the Anti-Drug Abuse Act, which established minimum sentencing for drug crimes and led to the mass incarceration of Black Americans. All of the things that I have stated here are factual and are the exact reason why only 87% of Black Americans have a High School graduate, have an "Average Net Worth" of $9,211, $1,000 worth of "Assets at Financial Institutions," $9,000 worth of "Stocks and Mutual Fund Shares," and $2,725 worth of "Net Worth Excluding Own Home." And just for comparison, the White American "Net Worth," is a staggering $103,963. To say that there isn't a clear sign of systemic racism involving African Americans is a lie that has been perpetuated by many people who want an easy solution to the problem. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
@@ebalicious1775 the single motherhood rate for black in the 1960s was 24%, now its 77% america being more racist now than it was before the civil rights movemen makes about as much sense as a biden speech, its to do with black culture
@@ebalicious1775 Yours is what we call univariate analysis. You're solely blaming ONE factor out of a possible MANY for the statistic that Blacks have a disproportionate disadvantage when it comes to NW (net worth). That's nice on paper, but cannot be true given reality is complex and a multitude of factors come into play.
@@billymurray705 If you were to control "f" this doc and type in black you will see something that is extraordinarily clear. Black father are incredibly active with their children. In many cases, they're even more active than white fathers. www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr071.pdf And if you have a problem with my data, you'll have to argue with the literal CDC. I won't tell you that there isn't no problem with the "black culture" but it is certainly not the leading factor. This whole black culture argument seems to be a dismissive way to propagate the idea that it's only black people's fault for having such low generation wealth, among other things.
Ya me too, my white privilege hasn’t helped me at all. When do I get my perks? I’m almost forty and had to work hard to survive, still struggling. Maybe when I’m fifty it will kick in...
But congress wants nothing to do with a man or woman with a brain who are for the people behind closed doors where deals are discussed that doesn't help them more and first
@@alexanderwalker4991 awe its comical how your opinion is suppose to matter to me. You bring no facts only feelings, this is why I choose not to listen to you. Have an amazing day, best of luck
@John Howard I understand him perfectly. The secret is, when he starts talking, you have to focus. You cant drift off thinking about your mom's cat. You have to pay attention. THAT is why these issues are so polarizing. People hear how one of his statements is going to go in a direction they don't agree with, and instead of listening they start forming arguments in their own minds and tune out what the man is saying.
Pfft The idea of Shapiro being smarter than people is hilarious. Have you ever seen him with his ideas get challenged? He freezes up and can't defend his position. You guys are in an echo chamber and don't even realize it. Do you watch videos from people you disagree with? People like Vaush, Peter coffin, or even ShoeOnHead? Probably not because you can't handle differing opinions. Snowflake
When I was 12 years old I asked my father if I had said the wrong thing and maybe hurt somebody’s feelings. He said “ You can’t go through life looking over your shoulder, wondering if someone takes offence at what you say. If they take offence that is THEIR PROBLEM , especially if you do not intend to cause hurt” The best piece of advice from a wise father. This debate is long overdue!!!!
It’s great advice till you say the wrong thing to the wrong person and if you’re lucky you only get punched in the face or if you’re unlucky you might get shot.
Debate? You mean slaughter. Unless of course we have a moderator like the one from the Trump vs. Biden fiasco. Now a debate between Shapiro and Chowder, now that’d be a show.
Thanks, Ben. I can’t get a single conservative opinion, or any dissenting opinion for that matter, into any of my college classes because of the flack I’d get from my professors/classmates. You’re a fantastic voice for free speech and civil discourse.
Yes. It’s straight-up political discrimination, which is illegal. I write as Marxist as I can in my school papers because if I’m open about my views, or if I even question their narrative, I’m treated as an enemy spy by the professor and students and my grades plummet. It was astounding me to see this happen in class after class.
Ben Shapiro actually said when he attended Harvard, he had to write like a Communist to graduate at the top of his class. He also said no matter what he was told to read, he read a differing perspective on the same opinion with it. He knew what the college was trying to do, basically brainwash the students.
Dont Think So I’ve had obviously indoctrinatory material handed to me in my classes in high school. I could, for some reason, tell it was tailored in the pursuit of brainwashing me.
Im 33 years old, I cant find a job, I´ve never owned a car, I´m still single with no kids. Im university educated white. Can I have a bit of that privilege please?
Chan wong I highly doubt he would send more aid to Israel for no reason he is a logical man and loves America as well as his Jewish faith and sounds like he has a good balance
Nadine Strossen, to Ben's right, had a pleasant look on her face as he was reciting his message -- by the way, that's an incredible gift to half read and half recite; Prime Minister Netanyahu does it really well, must be a Jewish thing -- and during his interaction with congress people, she would nod in approval. What made it strange was, she was at one time the president of the ACLU. They're for free speech but they're incredibly liberal -- must be a tough position for the union.
The term "white privilege" is racist. It is a prejudice against an entire race; racial prejudice is in the very definition of racism. *Merriam-Webster Dictionary*
@@AllezThierryHenry what else do you call it? Disqualifying someone's ideas and viewpoints because of their skin and not refuting their actual argument is racist
Mask Salesman Not discrediting his argument. I’m saying the notion of “white privilege”, though annoying, isn’t inherently racist. It’s only slightly less off putting than the toxic black American victimhood complex
@Thomas Grimes The only whay for racism & sexism to disappear its to stop talking about. The more you try and look into things and attach either "racism or sexism" to the problem/situation the more stupid those attachments become. I mean by Anita Sharkeesean words "everything is sexist". By that logic all of humanity its sexist and racist to earth and every other animal on it. Where is the rats/dogs right to live?
This is so true and seen everywhere. As a student who recently received his associates degree, I have certainly seen this shutdown of right wing ideas on campus through my time there
Ben continue doing your work I’m not even American I’m Jamaican, and I’m black and an atheist. I know you’re religious... I respect your ideas. In Jamaica people buy into main stream media like cnn etc and they think that democratic principles are the better for the world, but they don’t realize how radical some of these left leaning people are. I think what will happen is soon enough these left leaning radicals are going to create some serious damage in America and then there’ll be a rapid shift towards views that are considered more conservative. I know people here in Jamaica who listens to your stuff and find your work helpful, so continue doing what you do.
@Jim Ellis I wouldn't form a bond with a populace so fickle. It shouldn't take the apocalypse to get all hands on deck. And yet, ideas like UBI, a basic life free of charge, is far fetched in a modern society benefiting from a nearly completely automated work force. The second a virus happens tho, you expect the homeless, the drug addicts, the small businesses, landlords whom weren't bailed out neither this time (large companies are already getting bailouts while no one has gotten anything from the government other than promises) only to see the banks bailed out and not pay for not following the rules, ever. Yet they expect us, either drug addicts or scraping by month to month (70% of americans can't afford an unplanned 500 dollar bill) to follow the rules at our own detriment, knowing their won't be a silver lining. We'll just take the burn in place of the too big to exist corporations. How about think critically out of self respect and respect for others not just when it's too late. Compassion is a deterrent and a healing gesture. Greed is hurtful to both parties.
@Jim Ellis Yeah its called the red pill ya' sleepy fuck. I'd study up now on the state of the world before the apocalypse catches you off guard. Thanks to so many people being fuckwits such as yourself. Here's a hint; the world exists outside of what your ignorant ass thinks is important, it isn't always a conspiracy theory or crazed rambling.
I’ve been raised liberal and been a liberal my whole life. Ever since I started watching Ben, my views have been completely altered and changed and I’ve realized the true facts. Thanks, Ben.
I actually really admire people that change their mind when shown evidence that they're wrong. It takes a lot of courage to admit that you were wrong this whole time, props to u

I wasn't aware of different kinds of steak until I left my parents home; we had London broil almost exclusively growing up. As it turns out, I, once able to choose different cuts, much prefer a rib eye steak. I've employed this analogy for decades now to describe just how we collectively develop in life....
The problem here is that Ben is talking to stupid. You can’t argue with stupid. It’s like talking to an avocado and expecting it to listen and talk back.
aaahhh a rat sent from Micah's gang Arthur will take care of you for sure. Anyways are you out of your mind you hear the evidence and you still don't get it.
I am a freshman at a Catholic / Vincentian college, and right at week two, we heard about intersectionality and white privilege. It's absurd. Apparently, you can't say *anything* because people will be offended.
That is a "Catholic" college in name only, not worth attending. There are some truly Catholic colleges that aren't Leftist SJW pits, but you have to do careful research to find out which ones are genuinely Catholic.
I’m devoutly Catholic and it was mandated that I attend a ‘safe space’ talk at my university. So I went and was very polite, but when it came up how the Catholic Church hates homosexuals and one of the faculty members even tried to use passages from Vatican II, I just had to speak up. Very nicely (because I really didn’t want to get kicked off campus) I tried to correct him on the actual meanings of the texts he had misinterpreted and tried to explain that churches are actually the ultimate safe spaces, but I was shocked at how quickly I was shot down and ‘corrected.’ It was extremely disheartening and actually humiliating.
@@CelticBloodGaming We've gotten our books for this coming semester. One of them is written about Millennials and how oppressed and sad they are. It is written by a Communist.
@Slumpy Boy I wouldn't say it doesn't exist, but not in the way that the left makes it out to be. A example of systemic racism to me would be the fact that whites and Asians have marks deducted(Asians more so then whites) while blacks get marks added when it comes to getting into colleges and such, another example is the law(I believe) that Temps companies to hire more based on diversity to get tax cuts. Then you also have a huge systematic sexism when it comes to father's rights to kids, divorces, and all that shit. So yah I'd say it exist but not like they say it does.
Slumpy Boy Indian too and that is totally unfair discrimination now is against the people that do better We work harder then everyone we make more the everyone and we pay for it by getting discriminated against because we do better only in the world of Democrats does this work. No more of this unfair bs
@@entium1 Discrimination is a part of racism. What I said about the colleges and the tax cuts are rules and or laws based entirely on race, that either hurts or helps based entirely on skin color not work put in. and what is discrimination based on race.... well that's racism. What is discrimination based on sex/gender.... well that's sexism. It's bullshit that for example. Let's say a black kid scored 8 points and a asian kid scored 10. That black kid gets 3 points added based on he's black so he is now at 11 which he did not work for or have the knowledge to obtain. Now that Asian kid who scored a bit above that black kid now has 3 point deducted from his score. So he now has a score of 7. Let's say they both wanted into a collage that only accepts 9 points or higher. Well now that Asian kid can't get into the collage that he worked for and has the knowledge to be successful in, all because the color of his skin. Now that black kid who never had the score or knowledge allowed to enter is now able to enter, which means he won't do as well as he should because he is in a school that above his skill set. This simultaneously hurts that black kids future, that Asian kids future, and even the colleges themselves get hurt by this. I mean neither of us are wrong on it as racism has two meanings, 1) being that someone of a particular race has specific characteristics, which are used to say if they are inferior or superior. 2) being discrimination, prejudice, or antagonism based on the race of said person. Both of these two definitions go hand and hand, unlike the so called definition that the left wants to replace these with as being pretty much those but power and numbers as well, so that they can get away with being racist to whites and say they are not racist because they are a minority and have no power ect..... but they don't realise power and number of people have nothing to do with racism. By their logic I can say any kind of racist thing I want as long as I stand in Africa or china im not being racist. But that is when their double standards come in, and I would be held to the original definitions and not their bullshit definition.
Go off king 🙌 There is an attack on conservative students on college campuses! Ben has helped me embrace my conservative beliefs and that’s why I’m now an outspoken conservative on my college campus and that’s why I have also started a RU-vid channel to continue spreading the conservative message! 🇺🇸
This is literal Gold, Ben Shapiro is so intelligent and a extremely sharp man. For people to say he is wrong just proves that their emotions comes before doing anything right
No, you saying that he is very intelligent just proves that the fact that he speaks fast and have some good points that he extrapolates to a super right-wing position, convinces that he is some kind of intellectual. Not in this particular speech but the man is wrong in almost everything! If you don't believe me, go check out is new video where he bitches about people protesting for better conditions on work concerning the coronavirus and getting double pay. While he says nothing about the massive corporate baillout with no strings attached and says that he would fire everyone who is doing strikes right now...
She actually used a better phrase than Ben, who responded, "I feel". "I think" > "I feel". However, Ben's points were better, probably because he's correct and the other person was just a caricature of exactly what Ben was talking about.
Jack Jones True, but it’s also quite easy to spot when someone doesn’t have a clue what they’re talking about by the way they use said filler words. Ben’s points here are 100% valid and as much as you do hate to hear it. Facts don’t care about your feelings.
This is why i cant be a leftist anymore. Sometime in or around 2014, leftism changed from a philosophy of tolerance to one of hating those who dont tolerate certain things. In 2012, if two leftists disagreed on something they could acknowledge their differences and move on. Just a few years later, those same leftists couldnt disagree about anything without one calling the other a nazi, bigot, sexist, or a -phobe. I cannot be a part of that. Thats why i didnt leave leftism. Leftism left me.
You’re definitely right, “the left” has changed, drastically in the last 10 years. If you would’ve asked me what political stance I have, around 10 years ago. I definitely would’ve said I lean mostly to the left. Now, I disagree with almost everything on their agenda.
When I was in college, in the 1990s, minorities got automatic B grades in all classes. A minority friend told me, he never passed a test, but graduated with a 3.0 gpa. That is how it really works.
You'll never make the ignorant understand.....especially when they're against you and want the college kids to be sheep! Keep doing what you do Ben! Our country really NEEDS YOU!!!
I recently heard a girl at my college go on a 10-minute rant about how much she hates masculine white males as video game protagonists. But at the same time she admitted that Geralt from The Witcher series is one of her favorite characters. So I was like, "isn't it nice to have a well-written character regardless of their skin color?" I'd much rather have a well-written white male character than a poorly written token whose only character trait is 'diversity'.
And what demographic tends to play games that would have White male protagonists to begin with? It's no surprise really. Are they allowed to be represented at all? Is there a limit based on demographics? Does it matter if it's cartoony or aiming for realism? It's like complaining most romance novel writers are Female and most non-fiction history writers are Male. It's never going to be 1:1 across every single demographic so it's going to be a perpetual battle over and over again forevermore.
@David Bryant seeing as how most games are showing support for things like BLM, which people do not go and play games to deal with real life, yes, get used to it
Video games are political now. In mortal kombat, shao kahn said, "make outworld great again." Also the best character in the game is a black female. Some of the characters endings are too. And in gta 5 there's a lot of political things, but they are exaggerated to be funny.
CJ and Franklin from GTA were great characters and were well written which is why nobody batted an eye at them. Idris Elba would actually is a great fit for James Bond which is why nobody objected to it. It’s only when they force it to be a “diverse” character is when it becomes ridiculous. There are plenty of female characters on films and tv shows that I thought were brilliant and well acted. Just don’t force it just to show people you’re woke. Plain and simple.

There is benefits to having some exposure to hands on skilled trades but honestly that field isn’t for anyone. Some trades can be really harsh. That’s just opinion.
lynxis You did that to yourself when it comes to your student debt. You should done better research in that field to see if the estimated salaires would have been able to pay off your debt. Also you should seen if there is demand in that field if there no demand expect your pay to be low. You like so many collage students fail to do that before taking up a particular major. Yes there is good paying trade jobs and skilled jobs that do exist but you know many of them are either really technical and hazardous like the Electrical field while at the same you pretty much have know college level mathematics to be good. Than there is the hazardous jobs like Offshore Oil Rig postions, Crab Fishing, and ROOFING. Roofers has the fifth highest fatality rate. The high pay is code for hazard pay. Your cousin might get paid more but he has better chance of dying on the job. Yeah rather be in college, worry about my GPA, and be stressed out about my exams than put my life at risk. What’s the use of good pay if you don’t live long enough to enjoy it? So yeah LOL.
Revoke their federal funding. When you start to hurt the pocket books of students and college campuses then this BS will stop! No more financial aid for those who impede someone’s civil liberties

The main reason is that college is designed to produce more ideological leftists. It accomplishes it via a variety of methods. One such reason is that individuals with student loans are unable to declare bankruptcy. This radically reduces the risk of loans for lenders making more students able to be funded to go to college. In addition, if you can get the student to go into a useless field they are likely to pay you interest for decades. Another primary reason is the influence of Progressive education from the turn of the century lead by John Dewey, that advocated that purpose of schooling was not the development of knowledge, and the proper methods of conceptualization but instead to socialize the child, and have him adapt to his peers. To make him a useful to "society". Finally the other main reason was the large-scale failure to offer an alternative system for educating our youth. The main alternative that needs to be promoted is the Montessori Method. It ideal for a numerous reasons, among them include the speed as which early children are able develop quickly, the proper hierarchical structuring of knowledge, and the presentation of the knowledge conceptually instead of as isolated concrete facts. Hope that offers some of the reasons even though I think your question is probably rhetorical.
It's not just taught at colleges - it's now being taught in middle and high school. Teachers who graduated from these colleges and universities are carrying what they were taught into their work as middle and high school school teachers...
