No. The point is if you’re going to claim “Palestinians” can defend themselves then by logical sequence that has to include the elected government of Gaza which is Hamas. So by extension, if you say Hamas should surrender this war ends tomorrow. The truth is Hamas doesn’t give two shits about the Palestinians and that’s the disconnect idiots on campus don’t understand.

@@fetB like the fact that the palestinian struggle has been more than proven to not be resisting against the real injustices in the west bank. if palestinian self defense was against IDF and settlers in the west bank, a different message would be conveyed. 2005 and the withdrawal of settlements and presence from gaza and the northern west bank that was bound to contnue, and its consequences in the form of Hamas seizing power and enjoying widespread support, was pretty illustrative of what palestinian "resistance" is REALLY about, and the palestinian movement is very clear in its claims that Israel is an illegitimate state on their land. that is th.3ir main focus. the most repeated chant in demonstrations is "from the river to the sea", and an emphasis on 1948, the year Israel was born, and not 1967, the year Israel took o.v3r the WB and Gaza and implementing policies the pal3stinians are supposedly resisting ag.@inst. it is no coincidence. october the 7th is a reminder of why a military rule is taking place in the west bank in the first place, and how vital it is for israeli security. tho I wish many injustices that happen didnt take place and the population was t.3ated more fairly
