Ben Stiller's attitude is incredible, he realized he had cancer and the second thing to come to mind was how lucky he was that he caught it early. Amazing example of a human being

Yeah I'm sure having millions of dollars of disposable income and the ability to fly in the best specialists from around the world to work on him had nothing to do with his outcome or attitude lol. I don't care how early you catch it, nobody in the normal 9-5 world feels lucky to have it or gone through it. Prostate cancer is a death sentence unless you are a millionaire.

The exact same thing happend with my dad he got it but they caught it early and it's been 4 years since then and he's just turned 65. So if your sick and your reading this stay tough.

It was the wild animal of my life, so far. How, where and what was I to do, alone. Riding around back roads, trying to figure it all out. Finding a name on the back of a crunched up card, in my pocket, I forgot was given to me in the search mode. I followed through, had a radical robotic prostatectomy, by Dr. Isaac Kim Chief of Urologic Oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute, and I'm good to go. This sounds a bit hokey, but I have a friend who had/has a very aggressive type of prostate cancer and the outlook was not good but he is still hanging in there...13 years later. He started drinking a glass of pomegranate juice every day when he was diagnosed - still does - religiously. Don't know what it did or didn't do but hey, can't hurt. (btw, this is NOT his only treatment. He has had seeds, shots, etc. this was just a side thing that some people say is helpful).

So what was the treatment for Ben? There's are so many different kinds of treatments. My dad lost his battle with prostate cancer, he had it for 20+ years and hid it from the rest of the family. In the final years, it had spread to other parts of the body including his bones and by then it was too late.

How do you even know to go in and get checked out? What symptoms was Ben feeling that drove him to go get checkout out? They say it was picked up early. What's considered early for cancer?
