Mike, this is REAL bench knowledge! It took me years to learn all of the dos and don'ts that you discuss here within the first 5 mins. Especially, elbows in! For a while, I couldn't figure out why my shoulders (starting out of nowhere) were jacked up every time following a chest workout. After some tweaking, I found that turning my elbows inward did the trick and gave me more chest-focused gains. Where was this vid 8 years ago? Lol. Good stuff right here.

Not bad. I am able to bench press 325 grams.

not easy for beginners. my best advice is throw the bar out the window.. start with dumbells on the flat and incline using proper form.. use the peck deck seating down machine until youre tired . and as your tricep strength increase so will bench press... at the end of the day focus on your whole body work out...dont skip leg day

After being out of the gym since the late 1980's when I was 20(51 now) it took me a little over a year to be able to bench 215, I'm hoping by years end I'll back up to 235 where i left off ,I'm taking it slowly, I'm not a spring chicken anymo 😂😂😂😂 shout out to KNOT SPRINGS in Portland Oregon for helping me get back on the "IRON ROAD"!!!

Been working out for almost 20 years and never turned my elbows in and never had anyone correct me on it.. lol.. Readjusting is gonna be a bitch!

Appreciate that big homie. I'm definitely going to start bringing my elbows in. I hurt my shoulder benching 355 about 5 years ago. Even though I got it up I couldn't bench for months and I quit lifting for some years but I'm back at it now.
