I have the 710 and have been carrying it for 4 years everyday and the clip is still just as good as the day i got it. This is and amazing knife i love mine and will only ever by benchmades for my pocket knives if not only all my knives for the rest of my life.!!
hey man. i have the same knife with blackwater logo on the handle and blade. can you tell me stuff about it. where did it came from? limited edition? cant find anything online about it.
I am no super expert, but companies will sometimes commission knives with their logo's to give as gifts for various occasions/at the end of a project. If you cant find any specific info online this is likely the case.
The 940 disappears in your pocket, you wont notice that your carrying it. The 710 your know your carrying, but I think I prefer it. I like the heft and feel, and I think a larger knife is often easier to operate. The blade feels very small on the 940.
mutt2jeff I see, that is very helpful! I really want to try the 710 next, it looks like a nice step up from the little brother 707 that I have been carrying for a few years now. The 707 is more than capable for most edc tasks, but the handle is a little too small for comfortable use. Thank you for the reply :-)
