Benchmade Barrage Axis Assist Mechanism -- Part 1 -- Setting the Coil Spring 

This video briefly describes the evolution of the Benchmade Barrage's Axis Assist mechanism (from the Auto Axis) and explains how to properly set the coil spring. Displacement of the coil spring is the most common cause of Axis Assist malfunction, usually resulting in poor blade retention and loss of spring power. Often, the knife will behave like an automatic. The repair can be completed with T6 (pocket clip, handle scale and thumbstuds) and T8 (pivot screw) torx drivers.
