@@ScoopeddadDrone That same "I don't know if anyone cares blah blah blah..." comment is everywhere. It's ad bots trying to get people to use some stupid app. They try to get you to buy this dumb code on a site called "Instaportal", that's supposedly used to "hack" an Instagram account. It's a big scam. I'm surprised RU-vid still hasn't stopped it yet.
Fine. I guess I will buy it. The last 5 knives I bought I said it would be my last one. I am not even a "knife guy", but I want this one. It will be the last knife I buy.
@@gordon5382 i bought the crooked river. And just bought the benchmade saddle mountain skinner in s90v steel. Now, I am done. Wait I bought 2 crooked rivers. One for my dad for retirement gift.
This is the first benchmade that has me interested in a long time. For the most part I've moved on to titanium frame lock flippers. But this one has that classic timeless style and I really want one
Great looking blade... They definitely hit a home run with the wood scales and playing into the sentiment factor for a lot of guys who grew up around the 110.
I've been wanting a knife for quite some time and my bf got me this one for Christmas! I'm obsessed with it. Its comfy and cute lol. I like that it's not spring loaded and im looking forward to using it for everything from breaking down boxes to hiking to all sorts of little things for work (landscape)
One of the best RU-vid channels out there. Thank you Tim. Also I would like to see an edc dump if you could at some point in the future with your concealed carry system.
You just convinced me to buy this knife on REI, I love the outdoors and found this to be perfect for my needs! Thank you for the thorough and honest review. Super excited to get my knife in!! :)
EverydayTacticalVids Got my knife, it's everything I wanted and more! I love my knife, again thank you so much for the tutorial:) I tried to carve a sharp point with a stick like you did and was able to easily in about 30 seconds:D
This is an excellent review buddy! Most reviews of this that I've seen of this knife are benchtop reviews. I bought one based on a @cedricada video a while ago because he tested it as well. Thank you again, because my current work situation has made it hard for me to get out bush for a while, so you've sparked that urge again. I used to live in the bush, but now I'm (temporarily) stuck in a city environment, but from home I'm only a 20 minute walk to a spot that is a protected bush, mangrove, salt water inlet and salt flat environment. Due to work hours I've only been down that way once. I've got time off next week so I'll head down there and start work on a hidden camp so I can sneak down there when I get the chance.
I love Benchmade and it helps that they are a couple hours up the road from me. I carry a Contego and I also carried a Triage for a long time. I grew up hunting and ranching, but the last few years I've gotten into the firearms industry and it seems now I'm moving towards the "tactical" look, feel, etc. I think adding this knife as an edc/camp folder will kind of be a piece of gear that takes me back to my roots. I will say, there is no way I would use it to gut an animal, I use a fixed blade for that so the mechanism doesn't get pounded full of blood and such. Skinning may be alright depending on the animal and such, but getting blood out of that mechanism would probably be a pain once it dries.
hope to get one of those someday. Would you say it is heirloom quality? My thought would be to get one and hand it down to one of my kids as they interest in hunting grows.
Ive got a question i purchased the knife in your description and ive noticed the the benchmade logo is in front of the thumb. Instead of underneath like its shown in the pictures on benchmades website. Did i just purchase a fake benchmade?!?!
@@EverydayTacticalVids I just started collecting knifes, but I dont want to have like +10 knifes, so I'm sticking to having -10 and one of these is the no.11 lol, I want it for EDC/hiking/camping (The other ones are ESEE 6P, Cold Steel Recon 1, Boker Plus Gemini, Gerber Strongarm, Hogue Ex5, ESEE Izula, Spyderco PM2, KaBar BK18)
@@cristianosamble I'd take the Crooked River then. I like them both but the CR is in a Top 10 for me of all my knives. And good for you in limiting your number of knives - life isn't made up of 'stuff.' We were made to love people and use things, not to love things and use people.
@@EverydayTacticalVids love that philosophy... your quick response made me suscribed instantly, ive been following you for a while, keep up the good work. And thanks for the advice.
