My lanyards are relatively uninspiring, but, as you’re now a subscriber, I didn’t take any of them off in my videos, so you can see them. I mostly limit them to lanyard and snake knots, some with beads, though I have thrown in the odd other knot from time to time. I like leather as well as paracord, and did a simple lanyard knot in brown leather for my Proper.
Very interesting handles as dig em as very nice knife there....Nice choice for a lanyard....Happy anniversary Larry as thanks for serving as I appreciate you all providing the freedoms we take for granted....Good stuff...
5 years is a feat! Let alone 50 wow! Congrats to Larry and his bride! The Benchmade proper is a cool little knife I was fortunate to catch someone who bought it and didn’t care for so for the price he had it a snatched it up in. A hurry. Awesome review as always!
New subscriber , happy 50th anniversary Larry and wife . Thank you for your service . I just lost my father and he was a corpsman with 1/9 Marines in Vietnam . Just a FYI for anyone who reads this , DLT trading has some Tom Krein reground clip point green micarta propers for sale. Take care
I meant to say. As my wife and I just had our 30th anniversary last year, I fully appreciate what it must be to manage a full 50 years. It’s great to know your partner in life, through thick and thin, but sadly it’s so rare in this day and age for a marriage to last so long. Your friend is truly blessed! Please pass on my heartfelt congratulations!
Happy anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Larry! Something I'm always interested in with pocket knives is the width. Could you start including that in the dimensions please?
Thanks Doug and I would be happy to do that. What width are you looking for? Width of the knife across the spine, width of the scales as they lay in the hand or just more dimensions overall? The Proper has a width across the spine of .4" and a scale width of .82"
I'm not looking for anything in particular, just always interested in how thin a knife is in the pocket. That Proper looked a lot thinner than I had imagined.
An interesting wee knife. I’ve two, one the same as this and the limited edition DLC and blue G10 versions. I do like them, but I prefer my Enzo PK70s better.
Thank you for replying, Try a quick search on RU-vid, or pop by my channel to see a couple. Of the 50 or so slip-joints that I have, they’re without a doubt, the best.
I just really like jimping. It's there but doesnt have much grip to it. It's a very beautiful knife and I am very happy to have put the lanyard on it for you!
