I admire your patience and analytical approach. I'm more of a fighter and curser. I'll usually give up then come back repeatedly to the job until it finally gets done.
Nice looking knife. I will be interested to see the review. Disassembling slip-joints is something I avoid as the re-assembly part does not always go well.
With the stop pin in place, you can use the spudger to pry up on the back springer to replace the blade. I seem to remember it was easier in the half-open position.
So two tricks. 1, when taking apart put the screws back in a couple turns and PUSH the other side out then un screw, Makes it way easier. Other trick is to 1/2 open/close the blade when taking apart at that point it will have the lightest pressure on the back of the blade and should come right off.
Is KPL just very expensive red transmission fluid? Because it’s the same viscosity, both are scented (transmission fluid’s foul scented to discourage drinking it) & they’re the exact same shade of red but KPL cost me £15.75 for 10ml and red transmission fluid cost me £9.99 for 1L…
Not so compelling at $200, I can think of so many more attractive options such as the JE Brand you reviewed, still need one of those by the way, thanks for reminding me.
Benchmade's prices remind me of the sellers on Pawn Stars who want &10k for their $2k item, and are shocked at the offer after a professional just told them the value.🤣 Thanks for posting Nick. MALL NINJAS UNITE!
