★♡★Benedict read a Death in a White Tie, Ngaio Marsh written by one of the four queens of crime calls in the literature. Three hours and eighteen minutes of narration in the beautiful voice of Cumberbatch.
Virtually every performance of Cumberbatch's in any medium is a master class in acting - and with this, he gets to have a field day! Clear, distinct, believable characters trading dialogue, and he never misses a beat. I've been doing this for 40 years (!) and I still watch or hear his and frequently think, "WHAT? Brilliant choice! How did he DO that?! " Just a real joy.
"You're too damn particular by half, my girl. I'm your man and you know it." Oh my goodness, my heart skipped a beat. What I wouldn't give to hear him say that in person.
Thank you so much for sharing! This was really wonderful, didn't know Cumberbatch would be such a good reader! Shame about part 7, the suspense is killing ...
For anyone frustrated by the fact that there is no part 7- the whole story, read by Cumberbatch is available on RU-vid here- #ASMR #deathinawhitetie #benedictcumberbatch It looks, at first glance like a foreign language download, but in fact is not. The vital last 20 minutes or so are there.
Instead of *whining,* we should be appreciative and grateful for what is uploaded for us here, cost-free, then either *personally put some labour work in, go ahead and research what is available to us at all the other free video websites and audiobook iPhone and Android phone apps -- OR -- rent the audiobook from our local public libraries IF we cannot afford to purchase the audiobook(s).*

I do not understand. I tried ?v=ra etc but found it be a different Ngaio Marsh and nothing to do with Death in a white tie. Why did you suggest listening to it?
Does anyone know why part 7 was deleted? I'm a bit sad about that, really. It's just gone; I've been trying to find it archived somewhere else, so I can just rip it and add it to the playlist, but I haven't found it yet. I'll probably have to find it & buy it somewhere.
