Because it’s about the soloist at this point. Come on man any musician know that your nothing without the right support. Just give the man the respect that is due. One thing you know is from hearing the others play you know that he had to earn that spot it’s not given TRUST ME!!!
There's a whole amazing genre of playing like this called shout bands (as others mentioned, the soloist here is probably from that tradition). It's a tradition that goes back nearly a hundred years, all based around an African-American church called the United House of Prayer or UHOP. There are some albums out there of shout bands but not enough.
I think the difference in this performance and the one during homecome, if this is William is, William played during homecoming to FINISH THEM!💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 Of which we all know HE DID.🤗💖💖
@@islandcomedy932 For real and my band Teacher be like get on the bus meaning play your part but the tempo be like 160 or something like that and those note be having dying. It is either I can't breathe or my arms not functioning. Smh😂
It is criminal that this is not a music genre I can find on spotify Big pimpin horns Power jazz Big bone energy Fucking goated someone make this a fucking genre already I'm so done with smooth and quiet jazz
I need for them to go around to diffrent high schools, heck even middle schools and play this and get more kids interested in music. Like have the music teacher teach the black and blues the original way and then let these guys show them how they can use there skills hone them, grow them, use their creativity to finesse the heck out of a piece. They would absolutely love that and definitely be completely inspired to want to do the same. This would lite their entire creative fire. These guys are lit. That is all.
I BEEN TELLING GUYS THIS FOREVER!!!!! I was in The Band in High School as A Snare Drummer, Section Leader and Drum Major and it was The Best Time of My Life. I played Basketball too but When The Football Coach wanted me to play Quarter Back I turned it down because I wanted to be in The Band 😂😂😂😂😂 In The (Black Schools) Band was a whole different World and I fell in love with it. I think You're Idea is great and it should be done immediately
Seriously. My grandpa took me to see mindi ebair when I was 8 years old. I was so inspired I’ve been playing the trombone and sax ever since. All it takes is to see someone so passionate about it as if it’s another language. to become so deeply inspired solely on the fact of someone else’s passion is trulyamazing as kids now days just see everyone as just trying to get by.
@@stephaniecurry45 different kind of singing, this is the kind of soul passionate singing of gospel and the like, high energy like the surroundings. Of course Joseph alessi also makes his trombone sing but more in a formal sense, like an opera, sounding very nice.
This is the best soloist I’ve ever heard on this fanfare.. the intonation, control, tone, etc.. it’s perfectly executed.. Gotta give credit where it due. And the background players also did their thing.. that bassist held it down by himself, the chords were executed dammit near til perfection. The dynamics were off the charts🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thank you Will Bilal and the other trombone players! My daughter is in 6th grade band and was assigned the trombone which she did not like until she saw your videos. Now she practices all the time so she can be as good as these guys-Keep inspiring!
Man, I am confined at my place for the COVID-19 and this song is officially becoming my anthem to stay positive! Great job to all the band and cheers from Spain!
I keep trying to stop watching his videos but it is impossible at this point 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ his passion is intense and that is what makes the music so good. That trombone "sings" every note!!!🤯 As a choir boy I LOVE IT!!!!
Video (S)...? There's more? Where oh where? Pleeeease share with me where?😍🙌👍👍🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶as a fellow trombone player and music/arts lover i get all teary-eyed, have chills & goosebumps, memories of moments past whenever i see things like this and marching/symphonic/orchestral bands.
THE ENTIRE BAND deserves recognition‼️ Soloist, keep doing what God called you to do. His anointing will soar you higher than you will think or imagine. Congrats to all!
Look. I have watched this video no less than 100 times today. I need to know if William got a Twitter so I can blast this to the high heavens. This needs to be done live in a studio...HELL Ill chip in on the studio fee. This needs to be done in that setting so that the entire world knows how great these cats are.
The cleanliness. The tone. The articulation. The vibrato. The soloist. The dynamics and balance. The like to dislike ratio. If you haven't guessed I'm listing great things about this video.
The way the band prepares for the soloist to break out and rejoin the meldoy is crazy. They an entire unit. His solo is so clean, but truly magnified by the notes placed around it. Rays from the sun the give the sun that extra feeling when brushing across the skin. So smooth.
Pure fire. I consider myself blessed to be able to experience this. Give a damn about skin color- but if it means all this delicious culture? Sometimes I feel like my soul wants to be Black.
If we all stood together, the way they are in sync, imagine the music, imagine the change..Thus is bringing ppl together right now.. ..They are awesome as a whole..Stand Strong Young Men...
Every time i hear this he has a new amazing solo, these videos make me wish i never stopped playing. Untold hours put into this craft for him to have that level of skill.
My theme song when I'm walking as a BLACK MAN WITH SWAG!!!! From North Carolina!! This joint is 🔥!! The supporting cast is also great the control is so real..I play T-Bone also so I truly give thanks to you brothers for bringing our instrument 2 the 4front of real..The bone is the heat..heart and soul..🙏
Theres something bone-chillingly-hair-raisingly electrifying about hearing an instrument played beyond its capacity, especially with such a fine execution.... Hats off!
