The whole series is genius; the performances, the story, the direction, the production. It is so real that it hurts. I was a gay teenager in the late 70's early 80's in a big city. Sometimes I think I was saved because I'm lucky or because angels really do exist.

as a kid born the same year as Edgar, I remember that time as both magical and scary. Like there's this cool sparkly happy things, but then you hear the grown ups talking and the grown ups are talking about things a lot less bright and sparkly, and you don't quite know what it is because you're too young to have anyone actually explain it. This show and the people who made it happen gave voice to that sense.

The writers destroyed what could have been one of the greatests shows. How utterly disappointing it was past episode 4. They had everything going- great talent, a great premise but it bombed 💣 worser than the diarrhea of someone with gastrointestinal parasites. Oh I could cry for what could have been.
