Daniel, especially entitled. Says he's entitled to free housing. Entitled to top up of free food after hes gambled away his benefits. He's not owed anything if he wastes it, the money isn't free. Gvmnt should put him in counselling for addiction, giving him food only and basic shelter, maybe in a rehab group home. If he blows all those chances, maybe he shouldn't receive any further help. Just my opinion, I dislike entitled users.
@@margaretr5701 It seems like entitlement is spreading like a disease. I live in Germany and it is exactly the same here. Certain people never want to contribute to the system, all they want is do nothing and get paid nicely for it. They throw a tantrum and get away with it. I knew a woman who inherited 600.000 Euro, after tax she still had 400.000. If she had spent 2000 a month (which for 1 person is a good income) that would be 24.000 a year , it could have lasted 16 years. She was broke in under 3 years! Guess who applied for benefits and complained how little money it is compared to the lifestyle she was used to and how mean life is?
@@martinamoskale2445 I know someone who is doing exactly that! She inherited a large sum of money and is rapidly going through it, wasting it on useless items. She has been on benefits for decades and will probably be back on them again, once the money has been squandered away.
@@margaretr5701 if you give a million dollars to a poor person they will be broken a couple of years take all the money off of rich man and he will be rich in a couple of years.
Raised shoplifting to help her mum, she said. Paid her debt for her crime, then goes right back to it but better than before so she won't get caught. How does she expect not to get caught again when she's advertising it online/tv? I don't know how ahe affords all the cosmetic treatments, wigs, tatoo's, hairsresser, they cost a fortune. I suppose I should be more understanding, as she was raised from childhood as a criminal. Edit: And she seems to be trying, at least doing a good job with healthy food budgeting.
And her daughter was a bit sad she doesn’t have a nice designer kit waiting for her when she comes home...but in the next breath doesn’t want mum in prison...apples don’t falll to far from the tree
Well, she said it was a victimless crime, which still is delusional (prices raised and higher insurance cost strike against poor people the most), even if she doesn't hurt another person physically.
@@margaretr5701 She claims to have quit shoplifting. Prison and the (male) guards that punish female inmates would tend to make someone quit thieving. Describing what women go through in prison would cost me my commenting privileges here on YT. Let's just say that the "treatment" women experience from the guards in prison would carry 20 years in (ironically) prison if done in the free world.
@@margaretr5701 she said herself that she sells the stolen goods lol. If you need new shoes you should contact her she said lmao! So that's how she's paying for the extensions, nails, hair etc
I once saw a mother trying to shop lift milk in Aldi I felt like if u can’t afford milk with a child in a pram life must be bad. I put milk and bits extra in mine handed it to the woman outside she started to cry was very grateful. She said she was so ashamed but she had no milk for her child’s breakfast. I don’t earn a massive amount but I could buy extra milk bread cereal biscuits ect a 10 worth. These people wasteing money there are genuine people who need it
Well done I once did something the same a woman who I knew had through no fault of her own was on benefits was at the till with her few groceries could pay for them all I paid for the few bits she couldn't afford and likewise she burst into tears when thanking me outside the shop as a result my daughter gave her all the clothes her daughter had outgrown. I also went to the charity shops with her so she could buy clothes for herself and other children. In time she got a council house in a nice area and got a job to this day we are good friends.
Where is the other parent? If you help her once what's going to happen when that milk runs out? Will she shoplift again? Probably she has a habit which she feeds instead of her child @ Eileen O'neill
She probably had the same thought. But even that job has some educational requirements she does not have. (If she actually got them though, the pay could go above what she's asking!)
The shoplifter lady says she's looking for a job. Now what better way to attract employers than reveal her decades long career as a shoplifter on national tv?
I hope people from the foodbank watch this episode. They're there to help people who really need it, not people who gamble all their money away. That guy has a lot of growing up to do and needs to get rid of the attitude of entitlement.
Food banks are there for those you legit don’t have money and are hungry ~ not those who rort the system and have a gambling problem. I’m so sick of people living the “the world owes me card” it’s pathetic. I hope they get caught
@@johannas.l.brushane2518 It is pretty bad when people enrolled in college or university need to go to a soup kitchen to eat. Your financial aid system for university enrollment needs some changes. I don't know what the London School of Economics charges in tuition and fees but I was a university accounting and taxation professor in the US for 30 years and I don't recall anyone needing to go to a soup kitchen to eat. After I retired they opened a small food pantry to assist people at my former university employer that need food but it mainly serves single mothers with children that are enrolled in courses part-time.
@@mharris5047 I don't live in UK but it's not so much the financial aid system, it's the London School of Economics educate nickle & dimers, economic journalists and happens to be geographically located near the Anglican church soup kitchen in London. I lived in a very modest studentaccomodation and wouldn't have thought of sneaking off meals from homeless and such.
I know this will offend you, but people with drug problems and gambling problems HAVE PROBLEMS. They are the people charities are supposed to help. THE ONES WITH PROBLEMS. If they could just not do it, they wouldn't have a bloody problem would they?
That Daniel I’ve never wanted to smack someone around the back of the head like I would that clown. He blamed everything on everyone but himself like he said benefits shouldn’t of gave him all of his money on the same day. This guy truly believes that he’s right and everyone else is wrong. Imagine being in a relationship with him I don’t think there’s someone who would put up with all the idiotic stupid decisions he makes.
If someone can't budget for two weeks that person has a problem. If you are broke from lack of income and didn't blow it on gambling or carousing around the bars I will feel sorry for you but gambling 400 pounds away when you need that money for rent, council tax, utilities and food going to the casino is asinine. For the record pensions as well as disability and retirement benefits are paid once a month in the US. That guy would REALLY have a problem living here if he can't resist temptation and budget his money. We really don't have a "benefits" system for the non-disabled without children and even if you do have a kid the (time limited) benefits are only a fraction of what they are in the UK.
Yeah and foreign people come here and get everything handed to them. What was the point of the older generations building the country for other people?
Daniel seemed to think he was entitled to an awful lot by the number of times he used the word "entitled" in talking about things that were simply handed to him and paid for by others. Really what he was entitled to was a kick up the arse. Wonder what these people are up to these days.
@@user-cy4vw1qj9m No he needs a starve. He means to know what not having Free money actually means and everyone on your benefit system needs to not ever get cash they need to have like food boxes And rent go to the landlord, etc. No cash for cigarettes or tattoos or hair extensions or gambling....
ABSOLUTELY after gambling a way all that Monet and all the expensive things they are paying off. Always has a cigarette in has a cigarette in his hand. The worst this is the sense of entitlement!
Cut him off, give him one more chance by giving him addiction counselling, provide the basics, food and a bed, maybe in a shared rehab centre. If he messes up again, I don't feel he should be gvmnt and taxpayers responsibility. Perhaps he should suffer for a while in order to appreciate what he has. Just my opinion. NO, he's NOT entitled - (his favourite word) - to a nice free flat, just because he's born in the UK. He's taking from those who really need... and as he says, ...'why should I work when I get more on benefits'... tells me all I need to know about him.
All of these types of shows l have seen people going to food banks. ALWAYS have money to smoke and drink. Thus is why l agate givi g to these types of charities !
Kim's cackling laugh..is a money maker right there. Voice acting or just the laugh for phone messages, Halloween witch dolls, and so on. May scare some but to me it's hilarious.
It's just Evil , notice she does it when she thinks she's getting away eith something!! A lot of the time she talks so fast you can't understand what she's saying!! I gave up.....
I actually think she is quite charming. She is not attractive looking but she seems like a character. I feel bad that she has all of the tattoos (most of them probably done in prison), I think she would have more of a chance if she didn't look like she did 20 years in prison.
Yup. She seems pretty disturbed and completely lacks empathy. Just hearing her saying "I shoplift, no one's getting hurt". Such an arrogant, entitled and narcissistic person. Poor daughter.

Even men should keep a bottle of acetone based nail polish remover around. In the days of using overhead machines while teaching a bottle of nail polish remover was a professor's best friend. What I did was use a permanent marker to write on the clear plastic sheets we used and if I needed to change something I used the nail polish remover to erase and then my permanent marker to correct it. Nail polish remover also removes some paints from paint brushes and I had one student that used straight acetone (you don't want to touch that without gloves, there is a big difference between diluted acetone in nail polish remover and a gallon of straight acetone) to remove barnacles from boats.
These people ought to have to work a minimum of thirty hours a week to receive anything. Half of these people are very capable of working. Stop enabling these people and stop giving them handouts. These people are taking advantage of the system. I hope the benefit people are watching this video!
Three observations, #1 Daniel is a total waste of human space. He says entitled more than anyone on this show. #2 the shoplifter is selfish getting hair extensions instead of spending that money on her daughter. And #3 I truly feel sorry for Steven. He's actually putting forth effort and can't find any work he seems like he's genuinely wanting to turn his life around.
That Daniel with his entitled attitude is absolutely disgusting = a total waste of space. He’s just a leech. No wonder get so infuriated. Why are they even wasting time filming these tossers
@@numberone5680 he’s been trying to get work, did you actually listen? I don’t think he has a bad attitude, he’s just discouraged. He’s also right, if he wasn’t right he’d have a job, but clearly the fact he’s been to prison holds him back.
@@numberone5680 Have you even the slightest idea how devastating facial scars can be for the victim? I’m surprised that any shopkeeper would allow Kim through their front door. She is very recognizable. And Daniel can’t afford to buy food, but he can buy cigarettes. And he feeds all his friends from the food he just got from the food bank.
Likewise it's NOT the shopkeepers money; it comes from the customer 🙃 It's up to him to decide what he's spending it on. Sure, it's poor decision making (if there is any), that's why his behaviour is categorized as "addiction". Humans come in many different shapes with many different addictions/ habits. It's funny to read comments which claim him feeling entitled, suggesting he's a waste of space/ oxygen, expressing mixed emotions about Daniel getting groceries from the foodbank. Now, how awkward seeing YT users blaming Daniel of being entitled while they themselves feel entitled enough to judge the lad. Don't force your moral standards upon other members of society, luckily we do live in a free society in which we're all equal, and there are no such requirements to apply for charity Like he actually says so himself; it's his choice to spend the money on gambling or getting drunk, on hair extensions or he could just toss it in the churches collection box.

What B.S. Daniel spouts - "It's their fault b/c they gave me all of the money all in one go and I gambled it away so it's their fault." When you don't have to work for wages but get handed this money freely - the sense of entitlement is ENORMOUS!
These people are great examples of what can happen to you when you think you're above being responsible and answerable for your own actions. There are so many people like this. Not claiming any fault or responsibility for anything. Sad and unbelievable.

As long as she didn't steal from me I'd chill with her lol. She's clearly doing something to get more than just benefits. I have a friend who use to steal for many years. I told her a song as you don't steal from me we're good. In all the 15 years we've been friends she never stole a dime from me.
Omg Danny....his bad choices are somehow everyone else's fault...but, according to him, he's also entitled to everything. As for Kim, no amount of botox or hair extensions can salvage a criminal/ personality disordered individual.
I've watched a lot of these episodes & yet this is the very first one where I'm actually really cross 🤬 with these people. The entitlement absolutely stunned me silent, that never happens. UK benefits office ~ please cut Daniel off, completely. He needs a massive reality check, him & his friend. He's whining about how's he's so hard done by so it's obvious he's not appreciating what he's receiving. The gambling?? No, he needs counselling or GA for that. Just, just........... Argh 🤬🤬🤬
What about that poor guy with the dog who looks for jobs every day but doesn't get one because he got busted growing weed? I felt bad for him. Stupid law ruined his life for no good reason.
Here in America, there is no loosely goosey assistance. You have to jump through hoops and follow strict rules, or you lose any type of assistance. There are limits and time frames here.
That doesn’t make it right. There are people who need benefits and absolutely should get them. This programme went out and sought out the worst of the worst for ratings. The US benefits system is nothing for you to be proud of.
Question he says “ why should I bother getting a get a job when I’m earning as much on benefits. “ Answer for self respect, integrity, routine and above all to contribute to society , family and your community ... quite simple
Daniel makes me sick. He never takes responsibility for anything. Blames everyone else. He literally thinks he’s entitled to everything free. And don’t the benefits ppl watch these episodes?! Why don’t they loose their payments?
Ok, take away their benefits. Now they're homeless. What do you want to do now? Have them starve to death on the street? If they never had the benefits in the first place, which nobody in this show should be getting, then they wouldn't be in this situation. This is what happens when you create an entire class of adults that are basically children of the state. And people still think the solution is to just give them more. Now there's no homes for people who actually need them, but people want more of what doesn't exist given away to more people who don't want to work for it. Lunacy.
@@frankvonfrauner It’s been shown before that the best way to keep people down is by giving them a little, over time this reduces their inherent ambition and thus the same people can stay in power

Nobody should be allowed to starve BUT when you gamble away all your food money, the only entitlement they should get is 2 weeks worth of bread & a jar of peanut butter!

To the pound with him!!!!
Why would anyone want to publicly announce they are a thief. I don't get it. She said she's not a criminal but announces to the damn world she's a thief. What a disgusting human. I'd be embarrassed to associate with such trash.
I spent 30 years working in retail and, let me tell you, shoplifting, is not a victimless crime! You steal from the store, you steal from the people who work there, and you steal from paying customers because the store is forced to raise the prices to cover their losses. This is not a victimless crime! Anyone committing this crime should kiss their benefits goodbye!
If this guy says ENTITLED one more time........ he's what's wrong with society. You're entitled to the opportunity to live a good life through hardwork and sacrifice. Not taking a piss and using resources that could benefit those in dire straights.
She actually would be great at Loss Prevention. If she could get someone to hire her. She would be able to spot shoplifters and save the shop a lot of money.
Imagine how much money she could get by selling all the clothes on the rail!! Kim's flat is a dream home for most people who are dying for somewhere to sleep. Ungrateful

I wonder just how much these people actually cost the tax payer? Benefits, jail, legal aid courts, free health care etc. the cost per reprobate must be phenomenal.
WOW. I love all of these British episodes. This one takes the cake as they say. Here in the USA, you go straight to Federal prison if the abuse of any benefits has been done. Insurance fraud, etc. That is a federal offense. They will give you some food allowance after you are out of prison I think for a limited time. That's it. It is always federal, not state. They are changing things about no federal parole I think. It depends on the crime. State has a parole. Federal doesn't.
Uk is the only country I think that offer this kind of benefits..in Brazil only really poor receive benefits and is impossible to live using only benefits..definitely people still need a full time.job
Nonsense. Few people go to jail for benefits fraud. It is a misdemeanor under a certain amount. Food stamp and disability fraud are rampant. As well as under reported income for subsidized housing. I've worked in public housing so I know the games. No one I've ever seen has been arrested for fraud. Police and courts are only involved in extreme cases of fraud. The police will not even respond if called because they and the courts do not want to be bothered with food stamp offenses or inter-office public housing issues. States also have felony statutes and yes, there is indeed parole in federal prisons. I've yet to see a federal prisoner release where parole conditions were not imposed. State and federal benefits are based on need, and discrimination in determining who receives them is illegal. Being an ex prisoner cannot be held against you if you apply for assistance. Our public housing is full of convicted felons on disability payments who receive food stamps, medicaid or medicare depending on age. Private landlords are also barred from discrimination of ex prisoners. That comes under Fair Housing Act.
@@PatrickFDolan what state are you in? I'm in MS but from TN. Yes, they finally are giving parole to low crime in the Federal prison I think. They do give good behavior a day each month considered early release. State gives parole. Federal doesn't. They're trying to do parole again due to the pandemic and over crowding. Sorry I typed too much.
@Jessica Bellamy yep I belief she would still be stealing all kinds of things food, clothes, make-up etc, she may not steal for profiteering anymore but definitely for herself.
That shoplifter is mental! Seriously, the way she just cackles and walks around like she has no clue. She should be ashamed of herself. Being so selfish with a young daughter and with all those beauty treatments, she should give it up because they’re not working.
I donate to food banks regularly and this guy makes me want to not bother. Why should I give even more of my money up to help freeloaders like this guy? He literally had 400 quid in his pocket and blew it all.
Becusr the welfare system in Briton is so ridiculously easy and generous. I don't know when this was filmed but they would be getting away with this under universal credit!

she's not a klepto. kleptomania is a diagnosis. they steal things that don't matter, pen lids, tops of bottle caps etc. items that have no use or value, it's an impulse and not done to benefit them monetarily it's just to fix an urge. I hate that people use the term synonymous with thief, it's not the same. anyone who steals to benefit them ex. clothing, purses, money etc is a thief not a klepto
"My money's my money and I'll do what I want with it." But it's not your money is it? It's the taxpayer having to shell out so you can live on the free.
If Kim were in America with an apartment like that, she would have to dish out more than two thousand dollars a month at least. Probably more like three thousand a month.
Kim would be living in a tent or walking the strip trying to pay for those hair extensions..not sitting back complaining her FREE house isn't nice enough
These beneficiaries need to be bonded as volunteers to local charities as a condition of them being able to claim a benefit. Particularly, Daniel. He could definitely use some well-seasoned perspective, in my opinion. As in personal accountability. His whole, "Can't tell me what to do" ethic isn't going to make him any more employable. He needs to change his expectations, or have them changed for him. The name "Job Centre' is one of the biggest misnomers, as clearly, the gov't is not really doing it's job, by adequately supervising people who are claiming job -seeker's or other benefits. As an entity, they are a poor example, themselves.
A final word as it is all just so ridiculous: Just imagine the cost of funding all of this - and the lack of any return in terms of jobs done, output, production, etc, etc. Then add in the entire administrative mountain of all the people who are handing out all the forms and the boxes which need to be ticked and ticked again. It's surely one of the biggest industries in the country.
I believe in certain ways that some but not all deserve a second chance on work. Sometimes people just can’t be trusted especially that thief ‘the cackling witch ‘. Store owners beware of the woman with the broom.
